The article above says the pick is a 2028 second rounder.
And then we can trade him again for a third.A late first? For a 40-year-old? I think a second is a minor miracle. I also wouldn't be shocked if they signed him again this summer. And I'd very much welcome it.

I'd welcome that. But teams over pay at deadline. Maybe waiting for/near draft day would be better.I'd be really surprised if there isn't an addition coming today.

Agreed, I hate to say it but his team-first attitude was impressive and even at 40 years old he was still not afraid to scrap. This team will greatly miss him.Aside from the sheer entertainment value of seeing this place melt down over his signing in the summer, watching him score dirty goals and sticking up for his teammates was one of the very few enjoyable aspects of Kings hockey this season.
One of my favorite Kings players this season! Now I need to go and scrub myself after saying that…Agreed, I hate to say it but his team-first attitude was impressive and even at 40 years old he was still not afraid to scrap. This team will greatly miss him.
He changed his mind overnightStrange... I thought I read yesterday that he wasn't going to waive his NMC at all. I guess a familiar contender got it done. Not sad at all....
I think he’ll be back! One of my favorite Kings players this season! Now I need to go and scrub myself after saying that…![]()
I wouldn’t be surprised if Anaheim want him next season, to add some playoff experience and leadership to their young and (unfortunately) upcoming team…I think he’ll be back!
