Kings rolled over and played dead in Game 5. Series was decided by the stupid goal challenge in Game 3. Hiller should be fired immediately after Kings lose in Game 6.

After the game I got a text from one of my old Kings buddies, and it's hard to argue with his short but to the point evaluation of Game 5:
"men vs boys"
I don't ever recall seeing a Kings team get pushed around for 60 minutes like they did last night. The only saving grace for me was the fact I didn't pull the trigger on buying a ticket to the game. Almost... I was in the queue on StubHub when something came up and I never finished the transaction.

Sad to read all the anx here the day after. Me, I don't really feel anything because the reality is this team wasn't going deep in this playoff. Just getting to the playoffs or the 2nd round does nothing for me. Yes they have to learn how to walk before they can run but this team isn't running.

Also many discount how good McDavid really is. He can accelerate like no other. I complain that no one is hitting him or even slowing him down, but the reality is, he's hard to catch. Add Draisaitl and that's a hard combination to defend.

Was at the game. Surprisingly, wasn't nervous at all as I had a feeling this is what would happen. If anything, I was bored. Wasn't even mad after the game. Oilers are clearly the better team right now, not even close. Time to put them out of their misery Thursday and figure out what the org (front office and team) will look like next season. Whomever is in charge, has to sign a UFA that will put this team over the hump...just not sure who that will be.
Sunday I knew that it's will end in disaster. Yesterday I was nervous was at the game,but didn't expect anything positive.Now I am suddenly optimistic that thing it's going to game 7.
I expect the Los Angeles Kings to tighten up defensively to pull off a low-scoring win to set up a Game 7. I have no idea how game 7 is will play but It’s tough to beat a team in four straight.

I don't even feel like participating anymore. The disappointment has killed my enthusiasm.
Based on the response from Edmonton, I feel like we've been completely out coached. Adjustments made vs no adjustments.

Right there with you... After the anxiety, frustration, and angry disappointment after games 3 & 4, yesterday's no show by the Kings was perfectly in alignment with my state of mind, like...of course, whatever, here we are going through the motions of being a hockey team* or me being a fan... (* except Darcy Kuemper- that guy's performance in that OT and in the first period last night was near heroic- too bad the rest of the team appears to be too tired to compete further.)

This is not and never has been about X’s and O’s. We are the deeper team and the team that should win on paper. This is about what is between the ears. We are mentally weak and there is no bigger turnoff to me as a fan than mental weakness. As I said after Game 1, the only question I had going in was are we still mentally weak, and the answer was clearly yes. They are worse than us - as a team and as human beings - but they are our daddies. How can any self-respecting King look at himself in the mirror after an entire playoff series of pure turtling and say we gave it our all?
