2nd period ends. I don't give a crap anymore. The Kings are not coming back in the 3rd period. Even if they do have the heart and will to prove me wrong, I'm not holding my breath. If they do win this game to force a Game 7, then consider it my own self-inflicted punishment for ever doubting them as I will bar myself from watching Game 7. Until then, I'm refraining from making any more GDT posts until they not only actually win this game but also win Game 7. If they don't, my point stands and there's always next season.

Just seeing our Kings about to be eliminated by the same team in the 1st round for the fourth consecutive year is egregiously unacceptable. This is all on Blake.

Robitaille makes sure his playing buddies eat. I doubt they give Blake the boot. They’ll probably play coach musical chairs again and repeat the same tired “we just have to make it to the playoffs/the team needs to learn what it takes to win” messaging.

I think Clarke is absolutely the future of the D corps but he’s got a long way to go in terms of NHL level defense. The offensive upside is definitely there.

Seeing Fleury’s last game is making me wonder what it will actually look like for Kopitar and Doughty’s last seasons. I will always love them for what they did for this franchise but I just don’t know if I can truly do another full season of these two. Good enough to get the team into the playoffs but we’ve seen for the past several years there is just not that extra gear there anymore.
