I doubt he goes for that based on his outlook of the organization. It'll take a few years before he comes back for a "JQ night." With time the wounds will heal.

Then ownership / management had better do whatever it takes to make this happen. Not just the jersey retirement but a statue as well. He deserves it and we as fans deserve it.

I'm projecting, He's happy back in the Tri-state area where he grew up and don't be suprised if he's offered some type of job with the Rangers. He's moved on.

I didn't say when a player & jersey retirement event would occur. Just that I hoped it would some day down the line. Quick is so important to the history of the team.

I have no doubt in my mind that the jersey retirement will happen, though when is a better question. A one day contract this summer would be nice, but that I don't see happening. I would assume his bitterness is with Blake and Luc directly, maybe ownership too, but probably not. So, Blake is gone, maybe once Luc is elsewhere things will be better for his outlook here.

Patrick Roy left the Canadiens under far worse circumstances in 1995, and eventually, his number was retired. Time (and humility) does heal old wounds.
