Tuesday night brings the penultimate game of 2025 for coach Andrew Lord’s Ontario Reign, as they travel to Henderson for a contest with the Silver Knights.

After heading into the Christmas break losing two in a row to San Jose, there were a few long faces around the club. Not anymore. On Saturday, Ontario responded with one of the best performances of the 2035-36 season, blanking the Barracuda 3-0 on their rival’s home ice.

Turning ahead to tonight, the Reign will get forward Cole Guttman back; he’s completed his two-game suspension by the AHL front office. With him rejoining Lord’s lineup, look for Kings prospect Aatu Jamsen to get the night off. Although he had a goal last time out, the 23-year-old forward was banged up a bit in that game and will be given the necessary time off to recover.

Looking back to last month, Henderson and Ontario faced off on Nov. 28 in a rather memorable game because it featured goaltender Carter Hart’s return to hockey. He’s now up with Vegas in the NHL. However, that night, he made stopped just 12-of-16 shots in a game that saw the Reign come away with a 4-3 win at Toyota Arena. Pheonix Copley was outstanding, turning away 35-of-38 shots. Thus, neither netminder will factor into things tonight, as the latter is up with the Kings right now.

There will be little rest for the Reign too. Later tonight, they’ll head back to SoCal and gear up for their final meeting of the season tomorrow night against the visiting San Jose Barracuda.
