Bummer to hear about Bob Murdoch today. "Mud" was a great stay-at-home d-man back in the 70s for the Kings. RIP.

If anyone is curious: Kannegiesser, Murdoch, Murphy, Williams and Carr: L to R. Amazingly clear photo...not sure how they did that.

Oh wow, the “Off-Broadway” Line….Murphy, Carr and Williams. What a fun time for me to watch the Kings back in those days. The gold jerseys with the gold pants always reminded me of pajamas and put the kings really started to play good, at least in terms of the regular season once that trade was made. Of course, signing Marcel Dionne as a free agent didn’t hurt either. Well, may be a little bit that we have to give up Dan Maloney and Terry Harper.

Murphy, Williams and Kannegiesser came back to the Kings in a trade for “ Captain Crunch” Gilles Marotte. Picked up Gene Carr shortly after on a separate deal. Bob Murdoch was as solid as could be on defense….RIP!!!
