Defenseman Bob Murdoch played for the Kings from 1974/75 to 78/79, earning All Star honors in 1975 and Jack Adams Award in 1990 with Winnipeg
Oh wow, the “Off-Broadway” Line….Murphy, Carr and Williams. What a fun time for me to watch the Kings back in those days. The gold jerseys with the gold pants always reminded me of pajamas and put the kings really started to play good, at least in terms of the regular season once that trade was made. Of course, signing Marcel Dionne as a free agent didn’t hurt either. Well, may be a little bit that we have to give up Dan Maloney and Terry Harper.Bummer to hear about Bob Murdoch today. "Mud" was a great stay-at-home d-man back in the 70s for the Kings. RIP.

If anyone is curious: Kannegiesser, Murdoch, Murphy, Williams and Carr: L to R. Amazingly clear photo...not sure how they did that.
