RIP Gann Matsuda

Cause Mitchrock said so
I know some of you did not like him, but I wanted to pay my condolences to not only a long time Kings fan, but one of the first bloggers this team ever had, Gann Matsuda aka Frozen Royalty.

He was objective as they come. Was not one to sugar coat anything, and had terrific interviews. More importantly, he was a friend not only to me, but hundreds of us.

Gann was also passionate about Japanese American history, as a member of the Manzanar Committee.

I hope the Kings honor him if not opening night, but this season. He will be missed.

Japanese American… Manzanar was a WWII Japanese internment camp.

Was also sad to hear of his passing. I was in the Midwest when he started blogging and having anything more than the ap recap for a game was amazing back then.

RIP Gann. I never spoke to him but did recall seeing him come out to the 304 area during intermission. Condolences to his family.

I guess they did a tribute during last night's broadcast. I was watching Doyers so not sure. RIP.

I'm new here, don't understand why anyone didn't like Gann. My condolences to his family and I loved his email updates back in the 90s and of course his April 1st emails. Knowing now about his Japanese-American and Manzanar efforts, he was absolutely a class act. I never knew him but thanks to him I grew to love the Kings more. Peace and Go Kings Go!
