Too bad that in all of the playoffs GM Blake got our Kings to be in, none of them were past the first round. He still couldn't assemble the right roster to get past the first round and prove that our Kings are Cup contenders, even if this year's roster was the best he could ever come up with.

Um, no. Blake was a great player for the Kings, and won the Norris - I believe the first ever Norris Trophy by an LA King defenseman. The statue and retired jersey have nothing to do with him being a GM.

The development staff needs an overhaul in philosophy.
I'd like to expand the scouting dept. as well.

I absolutely disagree with this. I respect your thoughts but this is simply not true.
Also, trust me on this one: There have been far worse GMs in Kings history. Hell, Blake is Sam Pollock compared to some other GMs the Kings have had in the past.

His jersey is there because of who he was as a player.
Same goes for Taylor ... no way his jersey comes down either. The Kings only made the playoffs 3 times during his 9-year tenure and never advanced past the second round. Although he did draft Kopi, Brown and Quick .... He gets extra points for that.
