Roster moves

i mean, he's never really progressed past "fill in". He was inconsistent, and seemed to have a hard time using his strengths to his advantage. We saw some flashes of it, but it never seemed to happen night in night out.

And he may be a guy that just needs more time, but it aint happening here. It'll be a bummer if he pans out, but let's not act like the Kings are bleeding top tier prospects here. The last two (two?) being Fagemo and Clague. Neither have yet to do anything.

When you have a playoff caliber team, it's mostly sink or swim for your prospects. That's the reality.

If he does pan out then it’s another success for Yanetti’s team. One thing I can say for guys like Amadio being successful and Faber and Vilardi being the stars they should be is I hope the Kings scouts were just as right about Turcotte, Pinelli, Helenius, Thomas, Dvorak, Ziemmer, Laferriere, Salin, and Slukynsky. Hell, may Grans flourish in PHI while we’re at it.

Good for Bjornfot, even if it's god damn Vegas. He never got a fair shot here and was destined to be a healthy scratch for life.
What on Earth are you talking about? He's played 100+ NHL games for the Kings. He played a bunch of games in the AHL, and wasn't very impressive there. He got beat out by Moverare and by Englund. He's had a bunch of camps with an opportunity to win a job, and didn't. The Sharks, with their atrocious D, didn't want him for free. "Didn't get a fair chance." Please.

Playoff caliber? You're talking playoff caliber team? Trivia question: When was the last playoff team this season that the Kings beat, and how long ago? I will give you one hint; it has been over 30 days ago. Since that win, they have had 6 chances to beat a playoff team and have not succeeded.

Wonder I'm he could gotten a 4th rounder... instead of being lost to free agency
Unlikely, given that everyone knows he’s behind moverare on the left side, and that Clarke was primed for the defense on our right side. Otherwise he’s just stuck on our NHL roster, not playing games, but not good enough to get slotted in when getting line jumped during Gavrikovs absence.

I'm bummed out but frankly there is just no room for him on the big club especially when Clark arrives full time. I think Englund with his more aggressive play essentially sealed his fate.

I just saw that Vegas claimed him and another former King goes there? I mean, I think 1/3rd of their team are former cast offs that they have made into good starting players. It just shows you what a good coach can do and Vegas has always had good coaches.

I feel bad that we lost Tobias, but it's not like was a regular roster player for a long time.

If Bjornfot suddenly becomes Ray Bourque 2.0, it won't just be the Kings who will be kicking themselves, seeing as 23 (or so) other teams also passed on him.

Wonder If he could gotten a late rounder... instead of being lost to free agency
How could Bjornfot have returned anything in trade when no one has seen him play in the NHL this year? Had he been playing top pairing in Ontario all season instead of playing healthy scratch on the Kings, some interest might have been generated. But who would trade for a guy who became a ghost on the Kings roster?
