I’m absolutely thrilled with how my guy Big Save Dave played, and also completely crushed he didn’t get a well deserved shutout. This being said, what a fantastic game to watch.
Always liked Dave, one of my favorite players on the current team. And like I said, he reminds me of Iron Man Mach 1

Well there certainly is a difference playing one of the top teams (when they are featured on HNIC to boot) on a saturday night and a bottom dweller on a Sunday. The Kings thankfully are simply that much better than that club right now. Still mad about toronto's game, especially after the exact same play happened and this time the waved it off against the ducks last night. It doesn't make up for the original turnover on the PP, thats on the kings, but it does show how little room there is in these top games. 9 Games to go, everything is now about home ice, Vegas would have to crater to make it interesting at the top. Also in sight would be the most wins in a season by the kings (need to win 7 to tie, which would also match most points in a season at 105). They'd be on a heck of a heater going into the playoffs if they pulled that off. Next up though is a very good club in the Jets.

The stick above the shoulder call in Anaheim was pretty much open and shut. If you looked at Marner’s reflection in the glass, his stick was clearly above his head!😁😁😁

I almost (not quite) feel sorry for the Sharts. The Kings were in a surly mood (so am I) after that Toronto debacle. I knew the Kings would come out strong and score a ton...but even I didn't expect eight goals.

This got a bit lost in the shuffle due to the blowout score, BUT, it should not go unnoticed that the Kings killed a minor penalty for 2:27… yes, you heard me right. That double minor against Mikey Anderson started with 16:13 on the clock, and should have seen a player released from the box with 14:13 remaining. However, the Kings skated a player short until Byfield sky’ed that puck into the stands with 13:46 remaining. That break in action gave the refs a chance to realize what had transpired. I’m not sure if it’s the Kings responsibility to realize they have to put an extra player in the box to be released after the first 2 mins expired, but since Mikey was in there solo, and was actually disqualified from returning to the ice until he served his full time, how does this play out? I’m not positive myself, but it seems to me they should have skated 4 on 4 for two minutes(both players going off for coincidental minors), and then the sharks players comes out of the box during play at the expiration of the first 2 mins of coincidental penalty time.. right? I’d love some clarification on how this was actually supposed to be situated, from a penalty box and timing issue.

Either way, the refs blew this one, and the sharks got an extra 27 seconds of 5 on 4 PP time as a result. I think I can safely say in 30+ years of watching hockey, I’ve never seen the officials screw up a scenario like this so badly.

That's what I thought should have happened...4 on 4 for two minutes, then the PP for the Sharks. The officials screwed the pooch on that.

I had 2,4,6 for opponents.

I missed the poll question. But I would’ve never guessed we would win 8-1. The Kings needed to win & they won big. I don’t really feel sorry for the Sharks since they beat us twice already. I was wondering about that penalty kill. I think the refs messed up with that. Maybe they weren’t paying attention because it was a blowout. I don’t know.
