I believe that most intelligent people know that what is written in this article is not only true, but that they also know of it and choose to simply accept it and move forward due to the seeming inherent impossibility of doing anything about it.
It used to be that the powers that be kept the common man from learning how to read, thus indirectly barring them from achieving any higher power. This is nothing different other than being adapted to the current human environment.
Sadly, sometimes I wish for less intelligence and knowledge which would in turn alleviate some fears. Sigh.

Curious that the same day I read this, I also found articles on a rash of amplification attacks that were reported from December 2013 to now, and could have been thwarted with wider adherence to BCP 38, which was recommended way back in 2000.
