Solid deal, to bad they cant get same type of value when signing ufa's. Maybe its cuz Luc doesn't get involved with the Rfas?
It would be helpful if this comes true. I just don’t see how. I don’t think we see him on the PP with Doughty and Clarke.I see 40 points for Spence this year.
It’s an ambitious hope, but he was pretty held back playing with Englund. He will have more minutes with Gavrikov and the opportunity to play his game more, which is to puck move and not have to spend most time covering for his partner. He won’t get many PP points so 40 is a lot if it’s mostly 5 on 5, but he’s delivered big at every level he’s played. I think his second full season is when we start to see him shine more consistently. It would be helpful if this comes true. I just don’t see how. I’m really uncertain as to what Spence is. I know he has big supporters on this board. I just don’t know what to expect.
It’s not that I dislike Spence. I don’t.
It is just that I have no idea.
Yeah, he had the misfortune of being paired with Englund. Perhaps a blessing in disguise that Spence had to play a cautious role which may benefit him in the long run. Agree that Spence will be a bit more free to play his game and get more minutes. But he will also play against better players and that’s where I have some concerns. It’s an ambitious hope, but he was pretty held back playing with Englund. For sure. Better competition is always the unknown. But still, will have a much more responsible partner.Yeah, he had the misfortune of being paired with Englund. I don’t see Clarke on the top PP unit. Too much of a liability with Doughty jumping into the play. I hope Clarke gets another year in Ontario. I don’t want to see him getting physically abused each night. It was hard to watch that last series he played against the FireBirds. It would be helpful if this comes true. I just don’t see how. I totally agree with you, but also feel if we leave Clarke in the AHL, while he may gain weight/muscle during the season, his skills will also begin to erode due to the competition level not being challenging enough for him. Hopefully they have him on a solid fitness plan during the offseason and he can come in as ready as possible, and continue to adapt as the season progresses.I don’t see Clarke on the top PP unit. The lack of goalie scoring, especially by the Kings is something hopefully the coaching has addressed this off-season. To be a complete team, the goalie needs to do more offensively. No more excuses!I too, would enjoy more offense across the board. At least 10 goals for every player, even goalies.
