Coach who won the MLS Cup last season, the reigning champs, steps down while his team is in 3rd.
Last season, the coach who won the MLS Cup the year prior had his contract extended while his team was 15th....all while in the midst of a 16 game winless streak (a historic record).......and the coach is still employed by said team, and with a current record of 2 wins, 3 losses, 2 draws.

Matt Crocker quit as sporting director of the U.S. Soccer Federation on Tuesday, just two months ahead of the World Cup, to take a new job in Saudi Arabia.

so weird. I know they've had some draws and exited tourney but seems like there's something else going on behind the scenes.
