Umm explain this to me

We know MLS rules are, well yeah..

But, I take this as CR7 could be GAM now, and we could switch him to DP in July provided we sell either Paintsil or Pec before July 12th. (I think Klauss doesn't apply as he's DP for whole year, but I base that on absolutely nothing).

Face it, he's coming :):)

As we move along and away from CR7 talk..........(don't tell me it might happen until it is imminent)

On to preseason G's..........

First half against Fire was .....well, really, ummm.........garbage!
Second half was a C+ overall....that last goal for Chicago was horrific defending by the G's.

Highs: Klaus.....the G's have a 9 that actually plays like a 9!!! Who knew?!?!? His hold up play and passing was excellent!

Mids:
Pec....but still getting swarmed out there.
Paintsil....very FAST...elite speed....but nothing else really.
Aude.....when he flies forward......it was really the only time the G's had anything in the first half.

Lows: Tell me if you heard this before: Galaxy defending is trash.
Garces is soooooo rough and untamed. Such amazing potential squandered by helter-skelter play.
Yamane looks like he took the day off. I hope he is not like this for the season. Where's Cuevas?!?!?
Central Midfield.....ughghghghghghgg What a mess. Wynder was early season last year Wynder.
Haak, Reus, Wynder es no bueno!

Things to work on IMHO....

Defending: Pick a formation and train with it. G's have the pieces and the talent now.
This is on Vanney to make it work NOW....not by August.

Central Midfield: I don't even know.....lacks creativity, lacks defending, lacks urgency.
Yes...somebody is clearly missing here. If the G's can get the central midfield to work, the three lads up top will be putting the balls into the net....no doubt!

(Yes, Chicago is a high press team, so that was not "easy" for the G's early in the season. I can acknowledge that)

Shake off the early preseason rust. Onward!

Also word on the street is former G product Johnny Perez is going to Chivas.
G's have a percentage sell on for him.

Confirmed $3 mill. transfer fee for Perez.

Still don't now how much ends up going to the G's

G's sold him to Nashville for $1.5 mill.

3-0 win for final CVI game.

Better than the game against the Fire.
Yea, I know the opponent was "easier".

So far the G's feel and look like a mid table club.
Not bad considering last year the G's were legit under the table for most of the season.
