These are the possible playoff scenarios for the Kings -
Col vs LA (C1 v WC2-current), Vgk vs LA (P1 v WC1 or P2 vs P3), Edm vs LA (P1 v WC1 or P2 vs P3),, Ana vs LA (P1 v WC1 or P2 vs P3), LA vs Edm (P2 v P3), & LA vs Ana (P2 v P3). So basically we can get 2nd or 3rd in the Pacific, or WC1 or 2. We can't get 1st in the Pacific & we can't pass Vegas.
Also another reason to try not to play the Ava as WC2. We're in brackets. So if we do beat them we'd have to play the winner of Dal vs Min. And Utah's in the Pacific bracket so they'd play our 2v3 winner. This is another reason why this playoff format sucks. And I'll be rooting for this scenario to happen.
Anyway, I like the way this team is playing no matter who they face. So bring them on.

The Flyers won their last two games just recently; that means Washington is now mathematically eliminated from the EC side of the playoffs despite winning their game against Columbus earlier. And now the EC playoff format is set.

Let them kill each other for 2 rounds first.
Maybe then whoever comes out of it is tenderized enough to lose in the WCF.
What would REALLY be Epic is for the Kings to win out, the Ducks to win and then the Oilers lose. Then it’s Avs/Oil - Min/Dal - Vegas/Mammoth - Kings/Ducks. Only 1 of those first four would make the WCF.

With the Ducks losing to the Wild in regulation and the Kings getting a pity point in their 4-3 OTL to Vancouver,sets up a whale of a last day of the seasonon Thursday 4/16/26 in the Pacific Division and the WC2.
Ducks get 2 points vs the Preds,and the Oilers get all east a point vs Vancouver,then the Kings end up in the WC2 spot and play the Avs in the 1st round.Then again,if the Ducks lose in regulation or only get a point vs the Preds,the Oilers lose their game vs Vancouver in regulation,and the Kings win their game vs the Flames,then for the 5th straight year,then it’s the Kings vs the Oilers in the 1sr round with having home ice advantage for the second straight year,if I am not mistaken.
