The Pacific Division Thread

You gotta love watching the Oilers lose both games in Anaheim. There's a lot to like about the Ducks. They have some great young skill players and one of the best coaches in the league. They're literally skating circles around Edmonton who at this point look a bit shell-shocked and punch-drunk.

Missed the Kings game...went to see the Dodgers instead...cheer myself up...and I had a pretty good suspicion that they'd get blown out today. All-in-all the Kings played pretty well, kept the games close, bur the Avs have too much skill and Wedgwood didn't make many mistakes.

A Colorado-Anaheim playoff series would be very interesting.

Anaheim was built the right way. Yes, in pure young talent, they are head and shoulders above the Kings. Coaching as well, however, the credit goes to their GM. He built this team and brought in the right mix of players to win. He wasn't afraid to trade a star player to bring in the right type of player.

It took a while, however they are here to stay. The Kings have seen their last playoff run for a long while. Now it's between the Canucks and the Kings to see which team makes it back to the playoffs first.
