Pretty sure he's on a one-way deal, so he's getting his NHL money even when in Ontario.

Yes, if I recall correctly, I think the Kings signed him to a one way, three-year deal at 750 K per, several seasons back, so he makes nhl money regardless. Because of his low NHL salary, the kings are able to bury him in the minors with it only costing them like 5K against the cap or something like that. I know they already waived him earlier in the season after training camp, but I wonder if this was them pulling him up and then sending him back down on waivers to see if anyone would pick him up, just to get him off their books? Why else would they call him up for a paper transaction? They don?t need to add more to the salary cap, as we are pretty close to max.
