The Star Wars thread

The Last Jedi hit Netflix finally, so you know what that means... I watched it for the first time. You know what, I freaking like it. The new trilogy should've started with this movie.

Ok. So the nostalgia trip is getting desperate now. I think JJ will handle it more reverentially though. I mean, Lando will still likely die...but at least it will have the desired effect of restoring the humanity that the last one was kinda lacking.

The casting feels like fan appeasement to me. With all of the OG cast (probably) gone, let’s bring in Lando to try and save this franchise. Lando probably would have been better utilized on the casino planet in TLJ.

Annakin was officially freed by Watto. I assume part of that process to make it official, paperwork-wise, would be to either de-activate or remove something like that.

Presumably Shmi also had it done when she was bought/freed by Mr. Lars.
