‘The Force Awakens’ commentary proves not all reshoots are a bad sign

I have rewatched it a few more times and TFA despite some flaws that really are the result of trying too hard(and I can't really be mad about that), deserves to stand with the original trilogy. In fact, you almost have to thank Lucas for wasting so many years with the prequels, so that time could set up the final run for the characters we know and love. Say what you want about JJ Abrams, but he really hit all the right notes on an almost impossible task.

If making the fifth best Star Wars movie was an impossible task, then JJ indeed succeeded. I can't wait for Rogue One to be awesome so everyone can admit how underwhelming that remake was.

Hit all the right notes? As in copied the old movies? TFA was like the Jurassic World of Star Wars movies except they probably wished they had Star Lord in it.

I've watched TFA a few times now and I still like it. Def on par with ANH and not only that has several doors open to actually branch out of the skywalker centric concept.
You also can't disregard that for many of us with kids, its great to be able to watch an episode that both of us can enjoy. I don't know how to put that into a metric but the first one was the only kid friendly prequel but the childlike entertainment was like going back to watching barney or the teletubbies. ANH didn't try to be kid friendly but it is with R2 and 3PO.

ok from the kids standpoint, my daughter does love BB8 and R2D2. It's great hearing her call their names with her growing filipino accent haha.

I am happy with this.

Donald Glover Is Your New Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars Han Solo Prequel

I've been a fan Donald Glover since I watched the Mystery Team movie. It's a movie about three dorks, haha, who try to solve a big mystery. And now the Atlanta TV show. :woot:

Don't forget Community.

I'm going to have a bit of difficulty believing him as Lando, but I'm excited to see it.

I saw Inferno (you know the Dan Brown/Tom Hanks trilogy...) yesterday and boy does FJ look like Jyn in that movie. LOL

Spoilers below:

Beat me to it. A couple of nice new scenes in there, one that shows the Death Star's laser (perhaps an original, weaker version) firing down into the planet. This may be a part of the scene you see in both the US and International version of an explosion happening on the surface of the desert planet...maybe Jedah? Another scene showing Vader.
