Am I going to have the Star Wars Flu again during freaking kettle season??? I hope the Smith's employee take over is on that day...so not only do I get the day off...but the kettle counts towards my totals...

BTW...I might buy the Blu-Ray out of pity...
 
Report: ‘Star Wars’ toymakers were ‘specifically directed’ to exclude Rey

The source alleges that, during toy pitches held last January for executives, “initial versions of many of the products presented to Lucasfilm featured Rey prominently.” But under the direction of the executives, Rey’s presence was deliberately minimized in the planned merchandise.

The funny part about this article is that it somehow assumes that the original trilogy didn't have any "laughable bad scenes". That in itself is laughable. When you get down to it and Lucas really didn't change much between the originals and the prequels. The problem for the later movies is that he decided to direct them himself...which turned out to be disaster. And frankly, after doing an "OK" job on Ep 4 himself (a minor miracle) his choice of director for Ep. 6 was equally bad. His only good move during all of this was his choice of Kershner to direct ESB....which really is the movie that made the originals so special.

I think ESB is the best movie of the first three, but I think the movie that would become ANH is what makes the whole series so special.
