Mhm..Was Doughty on the ice for 5 goals against?

For anyone keeping track, two of the five goals against were while he was on the penalty kill, one of them was the last empty net goal. However, he and Andersen both had some pretty terrible defensive lapses all around.. even strength and shorthanded. Was Doughty on the ice for 5 goals against?
It's honestly sad. I lost my mom to alcohol abuse at 61. Just opens the wounds.
Panarin is very good. Greentree is not. It was an excellent trade. Don't confuse "he was our best skater prospect" with "he was a really good prospect".
Imagine sitting on the couch enduring this for 2 1/2 hours? I'd like a refund for the time.
Hope Luc is not around to make that decision. If DD still wants to play next season Luc needs to consider the buyout cost if he refuses to be traded, or if there's no team interested in trading for him.
Can only blame Luc for this. He is the fella at the helm of this sinking ship. This sinking ship that has been taking on water for a few years now.Greentree had trade value but didn't have a NMC. What value does Panarin have if the Kings suck so bad they are forced into a rebuild/retool? He might not want to get traded at all...potential for pure asset loss in times where maximizing assets is very important.
The Kings are just not very good this year. But given the crappy performance from most of the Pacific division they have a shot at the playoffs. Their BEST scenario is to catch Vegas. That way they can avoid going into the Central division and get killed by Colorado (Wild Card #2 spot). If they stay in the Pacific they'll probably play EDM yet again.
IMO, the real best scenario is to miss the playoffs altogether. I know that the Kings traded a pick that will become a 2nd rounder if they make the playoffs and I believe that is just a waste of an asset. But....whatever...we'll see what happens.

I was pleading that the Kings trade Roy and Arvy at the deadline a few years back. Instead they walked for nothing at the end of the year after the Kings were lucky to win a single game in the playoffs.
It's a really sad situation, really.
On one hand I want the Kings to squeeze into the playoffs, because anything can happen in the playoffs (though that's very, VERY unlikely with this current team) but mainly because of Kopitar. But it would almost certainly be a 1st round exit and not a very good draft position.
OTOH I want them to miss the playoffs and get a relatively high pick, and give a proper chance to some of the AHL guys.
OTOOH (I have three) missing the playoffs could force Ken into stupid, desperate moves trying to somehow fix this team as I really, really don't think he or Luc are willing to go into a rebuild/retool/whatever. And the only way Ken could possibly fix this team with the barren UFA market is by trading away the whatever future assets there will be left...
That's the issue with "win-now" approach with no apparent long term plan. Same will be this year, though at least Foegele and Perry were traded...

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed 3 points for forwards and/or 1 point for defense, nobody guessed 15 combined goals over 2 games:

I think the upside of getting into the playoffs is to give players more playoff experience. Even guys like Moore, QB & Laffy have only been in a few series. Outside of that (and maybe the Kopitar sentiment) I see nothing of any real value. It's a really sad situation, really.
