Canucks are just a little better tonight. Kings haven’t scored a goal on a shootout in a while. Game over
 
That didn't take long. Kings awful on penalty shots. Or call them anything you want.
 
That was lame and exactly what happens when Nucks play Kings late into the season. At least Kings tied for first.
 
Hate to say it but get a point every night and you take care what you need to. Been doing it since the all star break. Move on to the next game, got what you needed
 
Kings going nowhere. If they cannot beat the Nucks at home, they are going to get their rears handed to them by the playoff teams. Kings just don't know or have it in them to beat the teams they should beat. What am embarrassment.
 
6th game in a row an opponent goalie makes incredible saves. Thatcher stole this one

While this game alone may not be cause for concern there are issues appearing. The powerplay is terrible again - may not seem that way since it’s 6th in the league, but it’s fallen considerably and it started before the fiala injury. I thought kopitar hanging onto it on the 2 on 1 with Byfield showed a rare moment of him trying to overdo it, as if the game was in the bag. This long string of games that don’t mean a whole lot could be trouble. Coasting into the playoffs could easily translate into an early exit.

Edit: and obviously things are going very well overall - just saying the playoffs are a different beast and a team that can be beat by a decent goaltending performance isn’t going far.
