It only took Jeff Malott 12 games in a Kings uniform late last season to feel like he belonged. Now back for his second season in Los Angeles, the 29-year-old forward has already suited up for 13 contests with the club this year — a new career high, and one that he seems poised to obliterate in the months ahead. At 6-foot-5, he brings more than just size to coach Jim Hiller’s lineup. After scoring 20+ goals in three straight campaigns with AHL Manitoba, he joined the Reign last season and put up 51 points (including 23 goals) in just 61 games. It’s that type of depth scoring ability that adds to the Kings rebuilt fourth line in 2025-26.
