Couldn't resist the see a McDowell, play a McDowall.

The title of the film is an outdated Cockney(?) — well some sort of English, anyway — phrase.
 
Holy crap. I should have recognized it right away. I've not seen the film, but I've probably seen this frame or a similar one many times. However, I've never seen it that clean, so that really threw me off! When I saw the hint, though, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I need to put this on my must-see list. William Wyler at the helm? Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon? Need to see for sure.

I'll post a pic when I get home.
 
It certainly doesn't fall under the category of a summer blockbuster like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but, due to the festival circuit, it shares the same release year (2014), according to IMDB. It didn't get its public theatrical and home video run until 2015, though, AFAIK.

Probably my favorite movie of 2014(?). I need to look at a list again.

Under the Skin


EDIT: Went back and checked. I posted a list of my faves for 2014 and put Under the Skin third behind Whiplash and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Acceptable, but I'd probably alter the order somewhat now. I also put The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears much lower on the list than I'd probably put it now.
