VRANKOL'S Movie Quiz

Hint:

It was the first movie after "the horror" and bankrupted its director.

I see that image twice which made me think that I had double vision, and if you're well versed in your Foreigner, you know my double vision gets the best of me. mhihi: seetars:

One From the Heart?

Correctamundo! :good:

I guessed who the director was from the hint, but I've never heard of this flick.

It's a love story shot entirely(?) on sound stage and very stylized with amazing compositions and bright, poppy colors as is probably evident in the still. As a kid, I thought the story was terrible, and this seems to be the general consensus; but the visuals are so, so astonishing, possibly Coppola's most beautiful picture, even when you take Bram Stoker's Dracula and Godfather II into consideration. Music is also amazing by Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle. It stars Frederic Forrest, Teri Garr, Raul Julia and Nastassja Kinski (obviously). It's shot 1.33:1 (to homage old movies, I guess?), with a lot of in-camera transitions made possible by the control of being exclusively on sound stage.

To me, despite it's shortcomings, it's a movie to at least try once for sure.

I probably learned about One From the Heart more because of the Tom Waits soundtrack than because of Coppola. ;)

Why not? Go for it.
I didn't mean me. For the purpose of keeping things neat and tidy for similar instances in the future, since the person who should post next is unavailable/dead/forgot this thread exists, it should be the person who posted the last correct answer. Which would be you.
