I didn't feel like that would be our final score with the amount of possession and zone time the Jets were getting. Solid win.
 
Another solid game all around.

Would not mind seeing Lizotte get a game or two. I've been wanting to see JAD back in the lineup for weeks now.

And I dont get why McEwen is playing every game. He's not bringing anything of note. I get if Kaliyev is out of favor fine whatever, but as soon as Fiala is back, I hope #17 is in the press box.
 
The only surprising thing about that Lizotte penalty is that it didn't happen sooner in the season. That dude gets serially abused and it's amazing it took this long for him to lose composure and retaliate.

Lizzo belongs at LW4. Perhaps Turcotte will be healthy enough come September to take over at 3C. Or better yet, Blake trades some RD talent + AI for a legit 3C.

He takes a lot no doubt. But, that means he's so effective. Why do teams go after him so much, aside from being small? Cos he's a
pain to play against. He has developed his game as much as anyone on this club. Total epitome of will over skill, which he has.
He is Lappy without the size.
 
Doughty continues his scoring tear. Great to see him put up some points.
 
So nice to see the boys come out with such purpose after 4 days off. That game was at least as surgical as the game against the Flames. And you know the Jets were wanting to bank some points since they're on the playoff bubble. They did make a good push mid-game, but the Kings just kept pushing back.

My words of wisdom: Never take a 20 month old child to a hockey game. (although I did manage to see all the goals. But my granddaughter wanted to be anywhere besides in The Crypt, & she loves watching hockey on TV)

Agree with the SIZE... - 4" and 30 lbs... Heart, the same exact size. Tenacity, i will actually give it to Lizzy. Fighting I want a right turning noser (not a cross check)... For activity in the O zone from a 3rd or 4th liner, Clearasil has the advantage... The boy is a moquito, other coaches have asked " Who is this #46 ??" This is what 110% look like. BL is the oil for this (team) machine. This is the kind of player that others watch and just go GD!! um.. Yea... 5'9" undraft MFr is showing me up.. Opponents as well. I have been a fan. He earned it.

Yup.. First son at 3ish months, at Forum witnesed 99. Slept till some one sent the goal fog horn off.. Off to the urnal trofs with tod in tow.

I mean yeah, cross checking a guy in the face is bad, but the guy is clearly bigger than Lizotte, started some ****, then went into it with his hands down. I am doubtful Lizotte meant to hit him in the face, but he sure did, but maybe don't try to pick a fight with the smallest guy on a team and be surprised if he stands up for himself a bit. Guy threw the gloves way too early and left himself very exposed. Not defending the cross check really. It was a weird play. But I think both were at fault to a degree. I don't know if Lizotte was pissed off and did it on purpose, or if it was an accident - but dude clearly wanted to fight and should have been more ready for the cross check after nagging Lizotte the whole shift.
