The real question is, do those pussies in Vegas lose out to avoid St Louis in the first round. Let see if they mail in their last 8 games, but I would not put it past them, given all the shenanigans from that org since their inception.Of the six non-Edmonton games left, the Kings should win five. Of the six non-Kings games the Oilers have left, they should win four. You never know, but the series should start in LA.
Too bad the arena was half empty. That was the best 60 minutes by the Kings all season. They completely dismantled the Jets!!Wow, what a great game!
My thoughts exactly about all points you mentionedBoth of those tripping penalties in the 3rd were very, very questionable. Compound that with the non-call against Appleton fror bulldozing Kuemper in the crease, and I have to say I found the officiating to be rather subpar. Honestly surprised the refs didn’t call a phantom trip against Kuz when he stripped Stanley and dusted him for that unassisted goal.
He is always last in the line and give Kuemper a smooch!I guarantee Byfield was begging for forgiveness from DK as he was the last one in the congrats line and talking a lot.

It’s true, the calls against have really undermined us in the playoffs for 3 years running now. In a perfect world, I’d rather just see a completely unpenalized ‘battle royale’ take place for the playoffs. I have the utmost confidence that the Kings win a seven game series against anyone in the league, without special teams play being overly involved.Subpar is an understatement. The last 4 seasons, seems like a lot of non calls and BS calls go against the Kings. This is what worries me if, which most likely is… playing Edmonton again. In every series and games when the Kings were dominating, a bs call get called. Oilers score and there goes are momentum. They didn’t lose because of the refs I know that, but they sure as hell didn’t help. Perfect example, when we were of 3-0 in one game to make the series 3-1, the phantom trip call on Fiala when he didn’t even touch Divesaitl changed the momentum of that game.
I couldn't believe it. One crazy but accurate prediction after another. Dave Taylor is a genius. He was a rookie! 15th round pick! Knew "Chuck" Simmer need to be on a (Triple Crown) line with him and Dionne. Black jerseys. L.A. Raiders. 1980 U.S. hockey team Olympic Gold Medal. And more. Okay, granted, the Gretzky prediction wasn't all that tough, but the rest really blew me away.Oh my goodness, that was an awesome flashback interview with Taylor and Nick, is Tyler Nostradamus?!!!! Beautiful![]()
I don’t feel the same way to be honest. It’s strange, but the kings have not looked out of place at all against the two ‘best’ teams in the league, being Winnipeg and Washington. There are a few teams, like Colorado Edmonton and Dallas that do always seem to have our number. I think the difference is, Winnipeg wants to play a hard and heavy game, similar to the Kings. And thats Kings hockey, so bring it. However, when it comes to high end speed and skill, we just don’t have the answer for guys like Makar/McKinnon and McDavid/Draisaitl. At least not over a seven game spread.
We definitely do much better against teams that play a similar style to ours. But in the playoffs we can up the hitting on a run & gun team to better neutralize them. It almost worked against Edmonton last season. This year it WILL work!I don’t feel the same way to be honest. If by hitting you mean cross checking Leon Draisaitl in the face, I am all for it.We definitely do much better against teams that play a similar style to ours.
