Guess they should’ve started Carter George. I listened to this on & off during work on XM. The commentators seemed annoyed that Canada wasn’t beating Latvia 10-0. They also didn’t care for any penalties called on Canada. Even though they admitted that those were in fact penalties. Anyway, ha ha ha ha!!!

Another shutout for Carter George. Suddenly the Kings goaltending depth is among the best in the league.

Is it just me (it's not) or is the US getting constantly screwed with rest time between games compared to other teams? I believe Finland had quite a bit more rest between games the first time we played them (our only loss) and had several hours more rest for the finals.

Congratulations Team USA!!! Gold medal!! Freeee Birrrd!!! Really very proud for them winning gold. And this is 2 in a row, the 1st time ever that’s happened for the US. And I’m so glad that we got Hampton Slukinsky on the team. He may have been the backup but he won 2 games for them.

At the same time I feel horrible for Carter George. Of all goaltenders who played 3 or more games, he had a 1.76 GAA, .936 Save%, & 2 shutouts, which led everyone. That should’ve been a terrific tournament for him. But because of Team Canada’s failure it’s probably a disappointment for him.

Well deserved indeed. They had lots of chances to put it away in OT and the Fin goalie came up with some brilliant saves. In the end, their talent prevailed.
