World Series

And yet another stinker of a game for the Dodgers as they fall flat again in Game 5. They had the excuse of getting spent in Game 4 yesterday after that marathon of a Game 3 win two nights ago but not this time tonight. Snell gave up two B2B solo HRs in the first inning and gave up another later in the middle of the game, then after he was pulled out in the 7th inning, the Dodgers bullpen failed their mission yet again. Of particular concern is how worryingly cold the Dodgers offense has been after Game 3; they scored only a single run this whole game. Surprisingly, the much maligned Treinen, whom DR seems to trust so much for whatever nebulous reason, recorded a 1-2-3 outing in the top of the 9th inning. Final score: 6-1 Toronto. Now the Jays have taken the series lead at 3-2 and the Dodgers are seriously going to have to force a Game 7 when the series goes back to Toronto starting Game 6.

Man, do I have a bad feeling about Game 6. If Yamamoto doesn't repeat his Game 2 performance and/or the Dodgers continue to slump offensively that game, the Dodgers are screwed.

Treinen cooked tonight because there was no pressure plain and simple. Snelly did his job by getting to the 7th but yes the blow pen let us down again. We all know Baby Bazooka is wild so why not bring a good lefty (Not Banda) or sh*t put in Klein if you want the righty righty matchup. Dave is not managing his RP staff well at all. Bad time for the bats to go cold too. :fpalm:

It’s the bats. 1 run wasn’t going to win the game anyway. It’s the bats, runners left on base, runners in scoring position, etc. All series, and got away with it kind of, until now.

I actually feel good about game 6, but if we do lose, hey, we won last year; that’s way better than almost any other franchise, right?

If the Dodgers had swept, it would be so boring. So hopefully we will get to a game seven and it will be something that they actually had to work for if not lose.

Game 7, Baby!!! The Dodgers win a very close Game 6!!! With Yamamoto only giving up a single run in the 3rd and then being pulled out after 6 innings while the Dodgers scored 3 runs also in the 3rd, the bullpen this time barely succeeded in their mission to preserve the Dodgers lead, especially in the bottom of the 9th inning. Final score 3-1 LA.

It's do or die for both teams, so Let's Go Dodgers! Gotta send Toronto packing with nothing to show for it.
