And?

to anyone who wants to call me whatever, please pick up your bag'o'weenies on the way out This guy...gets a major part in a huge Disney movie. Plucked out of obscurity and possibly given the part over a more talented yet ethnically wrong actor. Movie comes out, critics and moviegoers seemed mainly pleased with it...yet in all the positivity, I do not recall reading a lot of articles singling out his performance. His action figure is not leaping off the shelves. Is it possible he isn't really 'it'? I mean, just because you are in a GIANT movie, there is no guarantee that the world will be knocking down your door. This is why legislating art just won't work.

As par for the course for the morons who run the SYFY channel , Season 5 of the Magicians premiered 3 weeks ago with zero advertising in advance . Found it by chance on Hulu to catch up.

Gather round kids, it's been at least a decade, but here's an Uncle J.D. soapbox moment.

The Final Lesson From ‘A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood’ Is One Worth Holding Onto

There should be a Fred Rogers Award. Same gravitas as a Nobel. I grew up in the prime of Mister Rogers, and I got...'too cool' for it at some point. But...decades later, his beautiful soul...still lingered in my dna and subconscious. Kindness...what a novel concept. Anyway, the movie was lovely. A snapshot really. But, Tom Hanks, at least for me, was so WORTHY of playing Fred Rogers. So, I nominate him for the First Ever, Fred Rogers Award.

anyway.

Why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Is Still the Best Turtles Movie Ever Made

And it we got it in March of 1990, 30 years ago this month. Since that glorious springtime release, there have been two sequels, an animated film, a reboot and another sequel. But that very first film, starring four martial arts experts sweating to death inside oversized Muppet suits, remains the definitive Ninja Turtles movie.

AMC Theatres Bans Universal Films After Trolls VOD Move

"This policy affects any and all Universal movies per se, goes into effect today and as our theatres reopen, and is not some hollow or ill-considered threat. Incidentally, this policy is not aimed solely at Universal out of pique or to be punitive in any way, it also extends to any movie maker who unilaterally abandons current windowing practices absent good faith negotiations between us, so that they as distributor and we as exhibitor both benefit and neither are hurt from such changes."
