The other teams thread

It amazes me at his age Corey Perry is playing good hockey. Most of us wrote him off many years ago, however, he would end up on every Stanley Cup final team and would lose, however he was there. He's not on the fourth line playing out his career, he is the mix of things each and every game.

Perry doesn't have to stand in front of the net trying to make a name for himself; however, he is there each and every game and yes, he scores and has an impact on the game. He must love hockey and must love to compete.
Yes to everything above.... and yet, I still dislike him immensely and my favorite part of your post is "...and would lose".

I'd also score a ton of points playing on a line with McDavid and Draisaitl.

Dallas gives up an ENG. Can't believe how they continue to be stymied by Deadmonton on 5-on-5. Now they're a game away from being eliminated.

Deadmonton's D is really putting up the barriers on Dallas' O almost every time Dallas has the puck. It's so infuriating. Sure, it's a real team effort but it's rather impressive how Deadmonton is able to do it without their best D-man available.

I hate that bastard, but yeah. It’s going to make me sick when it happens, but I’m expecting the Oilers to win the Cup this year. I hope I’m wrong. I hope Dallas comes back. Or Florida beats them once again. But right now they look like the favorites. And it’s so frustrating thinking about how Hiller screwed up when we should’ve been the ones to beat them.

Had he just cleared the puck or shot at the empty net...wonder where they'd be now?

Even if that puck gets out of the zone, 44.5 was more than enough time for the Oilers to score again. We’ve seen them do it countless times over the past 4 playoffs.
This. And not only that, even if the Kings had held on, the way the series had turned with the Oilers gaining momentum, there is at least a 50/50 chance the Oilers come back to take the series in 7. Remember last year in the SCF, even though they lost a close game 3, they established momentum and almost pulled out an epic comeback.

^^ This ^^ In the first few games the Oilers had issues turning the puck over in their own zone, and could not break out to save their lives. Once they remedied that and got Kane and Klingburg back and the series was basically over.

A Toronto(?) podcaster referring to the good decision Paul Maurice made to not challenge the no goal call against Seth Jones said Maurice did not "Jim Hiller it."
Fair enough, but that wasn't what killed the Kings. Hiller blew it in game 2 when he had a 4 goal lead and thought he could coast on in by running 3 lines and 4 D. Sure they won the game on a fluke goal. Does anybody think the Kings had any chance to win in OT?
