All Things:AMC television

I know there is bound to be a sense of frustration with the pacing of the back half episodes so far...but I am gonna wait to see how this plays out before judging. It's a big move they are making for the future of the series if you think about it. This next colony, HAS to be more than a let's see, nevermind they are cannibals stopover. So yeah...it requires them to establish a growing sense of frustration and disillusionment within the group, which they have done, almost to the detriment of the show...but it HAD to be done. And now...we see. If they are already back on the road by the end of this season, this show is going to have a short shelf life. I don't think their new home is going to be ideal for all(and this is about the point in the comics where I stopped reading, so I have no clue...) but I think some of them will be happy. And therein lies the drama.

So we all know in this new world without a central authority someone is always willing and able to take what is yours if they like it more. The point of Kirkman's whole story is what would we become without all the conveniences in life. We would become basic animals again. For every two bit King (aka governor) there is someone trying to just survive and help folks. History is rife with those poor schmucks getting the short end by the two bit kings.

I have read to where they are on the show and past and without spoiling anything there is plenty of drama left to move on from. I am just not sure AMC or Gimple have the stones to continue what is NOT a happy story as death and hardship follow all the time. They have done a decent job of this but they need to lose the idea of the "kill of the week" that feels like forced drama. Granted they didn't use it that way for the last couple of weeks but still. The group has to fall into some luck sooner or later and Alexandria could be that place. I am not sure the viewers can stomach what is bound to be coming if they follow some of the comic storylines ...

Thanks for this for the photos of Alexandria. I couldn't really see them in the epi on Sunday night. The other topic of the article ... meh ... it is such a non issue, not really sure why it needs to be mentioned by the author.

Yeah, I only read the first two paragraphs of that article, where the author states what the "irony" is, and all I'm coming away with is that I think the author needs someone to tell him what irony actually means.

Someone other than Alanis Morrisette, I mean.

Actually what has kept me going was seeing when the group does eventually get to Alexandria. Without giving it away, I'm aware something will happen to Carl while in Alexandria, and I'm just waiting for that thing to happen so I can cheer when it finally does go down.

So it is not rain on your wedding day?? I've been misinformed...

Sorry, read that Scott Ian was gonna be on...maybe next week. Strong episode. Definitely a welcome change of pace. Living in peace may no longer suit the family. But there were certainly some warning signs too. All is not as it seems perhaps? Or is that just ptsd?

Very strong episode IMO. Looks like Carl maybe getting lucky soon. Any ideas on who took Rick's gun?

I think the people in Alexandria did. Based off next week's clip they are being watched. The Alexandria group is not as trusting or naive as it would seem.

Also anyone else notice the lack of walkers along the border of the town or any real security of the walls. At the prison there were a lot of walkers and the perimeter had to be maintained constantly.

Yes but Andrew said "we cleared route 16." Seeing how they have lived a sheltered life since it all started - and Deanna's idiot son's tactics - I can't imagine they could've cleared anything. The other shoe is going to drop soon and the name is Lucille.

agreed but don't want to spoil too much.

Loved the very ending sooooo much. Also, Glenn getting to experience the amateur hour of the idiots from the town going on their expedition.

Fully expecting something to come from those three guys the lady in charge briefly mentioned were exiled. They probably are not happy about it.

This much is consistent with the comic ...

Man...Better Call Saul just gets better and better. And now with the teasing of Mike's origin story...so good. Much like Fargo, you wondered if it would live up to it's parent material, and you didn't need to. Now we know why Jimmy is soooooo worried about Chuck finding out about his backsliding. Very clever so far. Loving this show.

Hope the show continues strong once the back story is told on both of them. But so far so good.

I don't remember the last time I really laughed out loud at a TV show, but that toilet did it for me. What a terrific show it is turning out to be.
