All Things:AMC television

Just so tired of all the rhetoric. Stop promising so much and delivering so little. I am not bloodthirsty. I don't WANT favorite characters to die, but if you are going to promise gutpunches, sooner or later you have to deliver. Killing a bunch of useless redshirts just doesn't move the needle anymore. I liked Sam's head being bitten into like a bad apple, and I am glad Carol's monologue was what caused him to freak out. She is so badass now that she is culling the herd even without lifting a finger. And I disagree with you. I think that we are going to inevitably see Carol question herself due to the persistence of Morgan. Carol is the only character on the show who ever shows any growth or development. Everyone else is a one dimensional plot generator. Morgan=PEACE, Rick=conflicted leadership, Maggie/Glenn=love in the new age, you get the picture. Carol has gone from victim, to pragmatist, to stone cold killing machine...now it's time to dial it back.

"God has saved our town because he has given us the strength to be brave and save our town"

or something.

Isn't it amazing how bike mustache dude and the girl can shoot tons of zombies in the head and not even come close to accidentally hitting Glen who was about arm's length away?

A reunion scene between maggie and glen would've have been nice.

If Daryl dies, we riot.

Lets see, I would say the last Main Character death had to be Hershel mid season 4 finale. Outside of that mainly agree that sub characters have dies. What do you consider core characters. Mine are Rick, Carl, Darryl, Carol, Michonne, Maggie and Glen. Everyone else is fodder some more important than others but all below that first group. So far in six seasons I would say they have killed off 3 core characters, Shane Hershel and possibly Andrea. I would say everyone that they took out has been supporting cast.

You forgot about Lori, but that's completely understandable. A lot of people wanted to forget about her even before she died. :eyebrows:
What about Beth? Dale? There may be more that I just don't recall.

Yes Lori, She even bugged after her death by haunting Rick.

Beth not a core character. Only got bigger role in group right before she bit the dust.

Dale yes but so early on and Hershel from filled that void and then some that I don't know now four seasons later I would have called him core.

only reason i give a crap about it is because i have invested so much time watching it. you brought up a lot of good points about pretty much everything, at this point i am just going through the motions. I'm more pumped that Better Call Saul started back up again last night!

The pace of BCS is waaaay too slow.

I guess I'm a person that expects, you know, for stuff to happen.

Hey Zeus appeared.

I see what you did there.:clap2: Their world just got a whole lot bigger

Other than the fact that for the millionth time they made the characters retarded by not driving straight back with that haul (specially knowing that there are others that would do them harm, it was a pretty good episode. I suppose after two months they kind of let their guard down.

Well, I've definitely never laughed so much at a TWD episode before, so that was kind of cool. Jesus is a damn ninja. Rick and Daryl were genuinely dumb in this episode...so out of character for them. Jesus flying off the roof of the truck and the subsequent chase scene made me cackle though. No way was it a perfect episode, but it was surprisingly lighthearted and really enjoyable for the most part.

I liked Spencer's "closure" but the time jump between this episode and last was 2 months....was walker Deanna really just chilling in those woods for 2 months?

SO HAPPY ABOUT RICK AND MICHONNE THOUGH. I don't normally ship couples because it always ends terribly, but I love them and I've been rooting for them for ages. Warrior Queen and King of Alexandria.

If we're supposed to warn for spoilers here, be warned:

Was that truck really there all the time, and no one found it before now? Was there a reason to leave the original car behind when they had 2 drivers? I'll cut them some slack on Jesus getting those knots untied instantly and then silently climbing onto the top of that truck because, you know, Jesus and miracles. It was a fun episode, but if anyone had been killed in all of that tomfoolery I would have been very annoyed.
Rick and Michonne should have been together all along, but I understand they wanted to follow the comic regarding that other woman. There was absolutely no chemistry or passion between her and Rick so that whole thing seemed very forced to me. Richonne seems more like a natural progression so I'm good with it. I liked how she didn't look at him like, "What are we doing?", she slightly smiled like, "Good, we're finally going to do this." They'll both be wearing the pants in that relationship, so it should be interesting.

Have my theory on the Truck as regarding why it was still there only because of the comics. So stupid not to just take both vehicles back with out stopping because of the importance of that haul. Stopping for anything was pointless. Stupid decisions on a group that has survived a number of years now. Not great writing.

So this tells me....Michonne will die in the season finale??

I don't know seems like Rick doesn't have much like with this female companions staying alive...

My take on Richonne was that it had been going on since the time jump. The way they were acting like a married couple in the open and when Rick got back. I'm sensing they already hooked up.

Welllllllllll...

...Michonne is gonna die.
So here is the quandary. They are trying to get everyone to guess about who will be Negan/Lucille's victim. Trying to keep spoilery out of this I will put characters with odds (these are my own odds making and keep quiet if you know who the book's victim(s) is/are):

Glen 15 to 1
Michonne 15 to 1
Daryl 3 to 1
Carl 100 to 1
Rick 1000 to 1
Carol 1000 to 1
Denise 100 to 1
Maggie 1M to 1
Sasha 100 to 1
Tara 100 to 1
Abraham 10 to 1
Rosita 1000 to 1
Eugene 1M to 1

Probably missed a few but you get the idea ... I think jd is right - Michonne's going to get it sooner or later ...

I actually really don't think Michonne will die. I'd be worried if Michonne was JUST Rick's love interest (like Jessie was), but she's not. She's a katana-wielding badass who is an integral part of the group, arguably one of Alexandria's new leaders along with Maggie and a mother figure to Carl and Judith. I would REALLY hope they wouldn't kill off one of the show's best characters just for Rick to have some more manpain.

****TOTAL SPECULATION/POSSIBLE SPOILERS BUT NOT REALLY****
Regarding Negan, I honestly think Daryl's getting Lucille'd. MAYBE Abraham??, but Daryl would have way more of an impact. I don't think that's Michonne's fate.

If it even happens with Negan... I don't see it ever happening to any woman. Rick/Carl/Daryl should be 1 in a Billion. We've been faked-out with Glenn so much, that it would be stupid to axe him now. Abraham and Eugene though...
