All Things:AMC television

BTW. really liked Darryl's poncho. He is a cheroot and a stylish hat away from morphing into the man w/no name.

Walking Dead star on remaining eps: 'The body count is not done' | Blastr

Anyone got any thoughts on who might not make it? I have to think whatshername in Woodbury is going to die. That's my choice, with Maggie a close second.

I hope it's not Maggie. Or Glen.

Herschel seems like the obvious choice, but after his near death already this season, it seems like it'd lack the same amount of drama as someone else. Maybe Maggie's sister? She never gets any screen time, anyway. I can't even remember her name.

I don't think it will be Herschell simply because he represents more of a problem as is. They can milk that situation. I think Maggie, simply because her or Glenn would have the serious gutpunch effect that the makers seem to like. I still say it's Andrea. I think she is simply the connector between the 2 camps and then, not so useful once they meet. I can see her getting...SPOILERS

the truck bed fate of a character in the comics that hasn't made it on the show yet.

It deserves to be said...so far, this has been the most consistent of the seasons so far. I mean that in terms of being entertaining and staying true to the 'spirit' of the comics. Now, they could blow things up from here on out, but maybe the Mazzara era has finally settled in and they finally are able to create without the rumored 'Battlin' Frank Darabont distraction. I hope they keep it up.

I feel like they started getting comfortable in the second half of last season and have only gotten better since. Now, that may be a product of the genesis of the comics and the inevitable story lines they were going to get to, but it just really feels like a smooth moving operation now. Whereas, the first half of last season felt clunky and just randomly putting things in different spots. Almost like they were stalling for time.

I, for one, think Andrea is the one gonna get it! She is a Frank Darabont person and have to think the shock value would work well. I could see her dying in a heroic way ala T-Dog relating to Merle or the Gov or zombies, etc. and saving folks.

I am interested to see the inevitable match between Woodbury and the prison population's. But given how badly the prison population is now I can't see how they would be able to battle a contingent from Woodbury with their population and fire power. But we will see. From previews it appears that Merle/Woodbury are huntin' them some Michonne, which doesn't surprise me in the least.

Yeah, Andrea being a Darabont regular player does factor in. She was vocal about the loss just shy of demanding an exit. I get the 'annoying' tag, but she is one of the stronger characters left on the show...maybe too much so, hence the 'annoying', but unless Maggie starts carrying herself a little better they are gonna be short on female voices. Michonne actually got fleshed out a little better the other night but she still has yet to really be part of a conversation other than 'bad things are a coming'. I wonder, if she does hook up w/the Rick crew how long it will take her to let down her guard and become a bit more well rounded. I can see her challenging Darryl and there being some friction there. Tell ya, the show is almost finally living up to the hype associated with it. The violence issue Roenick brought up, that kind of started last season. It is showy/excessive at times, but unlike last season they are actually spending ALMOST as much time developing the story so it seems less important now. And obviously a lot of folks tune in for the grue so, as long as they keep focusing on the story I say 'let em play.' God the cgi blood and 'enhancements' are jarring and disruptive almost laughably at times. Who else got all creepmeter pinned out when Merle started pulling teeth. Dead or not...ewwwww.

The prison group definitely needs a Tyreese or Abraham right about now. Gonna need some muscle if there is going to be a showdown between Woodbury and the prison.

The report said that a guy from the Wire was seen on set...it would have to be the ex-con that started the local gym, that casting would be perfect. Maybe a bit old, but still solid.

Looks like the showdown with Woodbury is coming. Wonder who Andrea will side with now that Michonne has got to the prison. Looking for Michonne to really help Rick and group. Who thinks that there will be heck to pay for Merle lying to the governor??!! I think the Gov will go all sorts of bat#### crazy when someone close starts lying to him. I suspect we haven't seen the real governor yet ...

Nice touch with the phone and all and Rick finally regaining his "sanity" on it. Good to have him back in the fold after his walk about.

Decent show last night and Michonne is very handy with that katana ...

The walker pouring out over Michonne made me squirm. Loved it! Im glad that Carol has been found, at least that storyline can be finished up. Not a fan of the person X is missing plotline.

I was a little worried that Daryl was going to open that door and blindly stab what was behind it, which would have just been too much after Lori and T-Dog dying just two episodes ago. Michonne dropping in and taking down two of Merle's crew in an instant was good enough that I had to watch it twice. I also really loved what the writers did with the fourth guy in the crew, except maybe for how obvious that Merle was going to end him 20 seconds before it happened. And if Merle killed him because he wanted to go after Michonne, why did Merle proceed to go wandering into town where he almost found Michonne? I'll assume the next episode explains how she found the prison.

You kinda knew something was behind that door when he said that they'd come back to it on their way back. I'm wondering about Merle's thought process as well. Why convince the guy of going back and then deciding to go it alone? She either saw Glen driving in to town and followed the street, or she followed the walkers.

Merle was looking for a car, he told the one guy...'now we get a car and go back'. Most likely place he finds one is a populated area. And it was apparently close, hence Michonne coming to the same place...not a major point to nitpick. I am worried for Maggie & Glenn. For some reason I can't see the kill happy producers having both make it out unscathed. The phone bit(which stretched a bit in the comics) was handled well, especially when you knew Herschell heard dead tone when he picked up that phone. Glad they wrapped it up quickly. Some nice moments...the interplay between Darryl and Carl was the first time I actually felt someone gave a **** about Carl. He probably identifies with him because Carl's parents are both so ****ty. And again...the moments when Darryl was arguing with himself about opening that door...and then carrying Carol out as Rick cradled his new baby the same way...well done, Always liked Norman Reedus(Blade 2 especially) but he is doing such good work...he has to be the one untouchable on the show.

This was the first time I ffwd thru Talking Dead. Joel Madden of the Madden Brothers(they say that as if I know and or give a rats ass who that is) is a moron. Sarah Silverman was slightly less annoying. Seriously, please get people on who can express a simple thought or don't make poorly timed insufferable jokes. Fail.

All this. yes.

Regarding Talking I sometimes think they would be better off letting the host go with no guests and taking phone calls/tweets alone. That way it would be true fans. The best times are when they have cast or crew. Anyone else, unless a true fan of comic/show, is entirely filler. Heck anyone of the Comicbook Men would be perfect guests! Figure it out AMC!
