All Things:AMC television

Man...whats wrong with you guys? Don't like the fly episode. Whats a matter? Quiet character driven moments not exciting enough? Shame on you.

i get its purpose with the characters and the overall plot, but oh boy was it slow and an especially rough watch as the second episode in for me. i can't wait for tomorrow!

Finally.

It's been a long wait but I'm super excited to see my good friends Walt, Jesse, Hank, Mike and Saul again.

Gonna re-post one of my favorite youtubes posted here, courtesy of jerseydevil (major spoilers obviously):

Man the opening scene... What would he need that for??

I want another episode and I want it now.

Can't wait. Hope that the Governor is as crazy as he is in the comics, but like jd said...looks like it's going to be a lot different.

Watched 'Small Town Security' which was on right after Breaking Bad just so I could watch the Walking Dead trailer.

Why do they green light garbage like 'Small Town Security'? Whoever did so should be fired, NOW.

Ok, so I should delete Small Town Security then...thanks. That got okayed because AMC is looking to fill more timeslots with original programming. ANNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDD the best way to do that on the cheap(which they are looking to do) is with reality TV. ComicBook Men was a surprise hit, which set the bar a little high.

That's on you kid. Why in the hell were you watching out of order. Got a great story about that episode from Vince Gilligan. How it was a 'bottle episode' meant to contain the budget of the season that may have been stretched for previous episodes. One location=$$$$$$$$$avings. But yeah, I love that episode, and if I am not mistaken it was their submission that year for Emmy consideration. So...I will defend it till the end.
NETFLIX streaming now has season 4. Have not yet watched last nights premiere. Thinking I am gonna relive season 4 this week and double up on new episode goodness on Sunday.
REMEMBER...only 8 episodes...then a year break...and then the final 8. So savor these folks, it'll be over before ya know it.

i was a late bloomer and didn't get in until midway through season 3. i went back and watched everything straight through starting with the pilot this past month though and i still feel the same. i just feel like i get enough of walt's idiosyncracies, ego and his relationship with jesse throughout the series that i don't really need to watch it as the focus and only aspect of an hour long episode. what you say about the budget makes more sense to me though, i hadn't heard about that. that's cool if you dug it, i think i just missed the other characters who are all also so well written and acted. :)

Mothereffing nextflix.... I waited impatiently for months for them to add season 4 (which I'd missed coming in late), and when it looked like they didn't intend to and there were no replays elsewhere I had no choice last week but to buy the season for $20 on Amazon and binge watch on my laptop to prep for the season 5 premier. AND THEN WHAT THE F*** DO THEY DO?????? They add it!!!!!!!! In HD! Like, THE DAY before the premier. Thanks for absolutely nothing a**holes!

I didn't know this either. One of the best shows I've ever seen and I love it to death but this is some WEAK.... ASS.... S***. One whole year between? Gotta be kidding me. Talk about milking the cow dry.

Don't blame BB. They originally wanted a 12 episode full run, which led to communication breaking down and them threatening to shop it. AMC wanted 2 more seasons, hence the compromise. It's a bit of a squeeze and a real bummer, but upside...4 more episodes.

Thank you for proving Murphy's Law re AMC broadcasting season 4, so I didn't have to. :drinks:

This explanation makes sense and I am indeed happy for the extra 4 episodes, but the wait is gonna suck big time.

and you KNOW...the halfway point is gonna be all Empire Strikes Back-ian w/a hell-a-cliffhanger!!!!!!

that's exactly why i was lamenting your post about the break up of the season. waiting a whole year after a mega cliffhanger is gonna kill me! (ok, maybe not, but close!) also 8 episodes is gonna fly. bahhhhhhh.

i, too, do appreciate the extra episodes though.
