All Things:AMC television

It had to happen. Sad ending to a great character. Once he left his granddaughter behind, he had to go.

spoilers

Where did Walt's sudden look of horror and/or remorse come from? He barely flinched when that kid got shot, now he had that deer in the headlights look he had early on in the show. I don't quite understand, Mike was a constant rival and problem for Walt and this is where he shows remorse?

We NEED more Saul.

His secretary must be the one that charges up his 15 or so phones every few days (I say that because if I had that many phones, most would be dead - I have a hard time keeping 1 charged up)

And speaking of cell phones, can't the police/DEA just listen in to any cell phone conversation?? Mike used his cell all the time - they couldn't listen in to him 1x when he was talking to Walt??? The "non-connection" of Mike to Walt is quite a leap to me.

i think the emotion he was showing was not for mike, but because he didn't get the names of the 9 other folks that can get him in trouble.

Mike was also the first person Walt killed himself (other than the drug dealers he ran over who were gonna kill Jessie), so that could be where the emotion came from.

He also killed Krazy 8 in season 1.

By killing Mike, Walt put himself in an even worse situation than he already was.

He can't just let the body be discovered because then Jesse and Saul will know Walt killed him.
He can't get anybody to help him dispose of the body because then Jesse and Saul will know Walt killed him.

His only real ally at this point appears to be Todd.

I can't wait for Walter White to die.

i had a feeling he was a goner when he was out of the game. sucks he didn't get to say goodbye to his granddaughter and that her money got confiscated again before he could leave her more. walt gets uglier with every episode.

Love how this is turning out. Many mob shows and movies make you sympathise with the villain but now you are seeing Mikes true color in it's vivid sheen. Just like Good Felllas you may like them but in the end they are all getting what they deserve!

I don't know. Walt has spun too far from center. All sympathy/understanding for him is gone. He is...a monster. The replacement for those feelings is now gone. Say what you want about Mike. He was a pragmatist. And his love for his granddaughter was very clear. Someone has to pick up that slack. Jesse. No. He's too deep in it and has just been damaged by travelling too close to the sun. Skyler...not likely, ever. Walt Jr. has been removed. Who's it going to be? Hank? Maybe. Gilligan kind of tipped his hand back in the day when Hank bought Walt Jr. the book on the guys who broke up the cocaine cartels and said 'that's the story you never hear about'. Maybe this whole story has really been about Hank. I will miss Mike. A lot. And he got a ****ty exit. He deserved better.

By the way, I recently heard that it will not be a year to the back 8. Apparently they will show in January, hence the 'last episode of this year' tag at the end of the preview. So that's a damned sight better.

That's a huge relief, not having to wait a whole year.

And rooting for anti-heroes is fun but Walt has definitely gone way too far. There were times when Tony Soprano could make you hate him but he always won you back, but Walt has passed the point of redemption. Mike in a way took over as the anti-hero of the show so it's a bit sad to lose that.

It's so funny how disgusted I was with Jesse earlier in the show, now he's the most likable guy left. And how I used to love Walter and now I hate him.

Like Walter said about chemistry in one of the very first episodes - growth, then decay, then tranformation.

That was a great episode, this show is keeping me hooked and wanting more every week. I hate watching the show on Sundays because then I have to wait a week to see the next episode. Next week is really going to suck.

I really liked Mike as a character and Jonathon Banks played him well.

Didn't he also shoot the guys watching over Jesse in the old lab during the Fring bit?
