All Things:AMC television

Hell on Wheels S2 is going great after 4 eps. The acting is top-notch.

Have to support the locally filmed show (it is filmed just outside Calgary)! The cast is from all over: Ireland, South Africa, Australia, US/Canada.

i wanna know how and why walt ends up with a fake name, hair and the guns! can't waittttttt arghhhhhh.
i totally forgot about his doctor's visit and what that could possibly mean.

I try not to think about it, the wait is too long! Thinking about it will only make me go crazy.

I wonder why everyone assumes that it's fake hair. I mean, it is a year later more or less. If he has full blown cancer he may be foregoing treatment and it's grown back. I don't recall the hair looking terribly fake. Funny. I think we can assume the doctor visit meant something. Something not good. The purchase of the heavy artillery though? That's still a curiousity.

Yeah the hair is probably real. I gotta think the cancer's back and either he doesn't bother with chemo because he has no real will to live, or he's on the run and therefor can't get treatment.

We'll see.

I didn't mean I thought his hair was fake. I should've said "I wanna know why he's got the alias, hair and guns!"
I think he grew his hair out either as part of the identity change or as you guys are hypothesizing, he doesn't have access to treatment. currently, he is bald because he chooses to be as last we heard, his cancer went in to remission and he no longer needed treatment.

I have spoiler stuffs for the upcoming season of the zombie show...but I ain't sayin' NUTHIN. Neener neener neener! But I also don't watch the show so I have no ****ing clue what or who any of it is. Hahahaha!

wasn't singling you out...Kingsqueen has been saying it too, adding that it could be part of a disguise in Mike's bag'o'cheezinit. I just don't think so. It almost felt like, now that I reflect on it...he had some serious sadness and regret in that opening. The whole bacon on the pancakes thing. As if he had lost everything and now, as a loser again, he was Walt reincarnated. Cancer back, empire gone?, on the lam...yeah, still don't explain the BFG in the trunk of the car.

it never occurred to me that he would have fake hair, if so, why not just dye it?, so I thought I was just misinterpreted. :)
I forgot about the bacon and pancakes in the opening but recall now how it came up during the season on his bday. technically then, while we have to wait a year, the season picks up about a year later since it's his bday again. I'm just realizing that now, too.
good points about the sadness and loss. honestly, I want him to regain some humanity. maybe just 'cause I'm a woman. this season made his character real loathsome.

100% in agreement. He had no fear anymore so he had no relatability. His interaction with Jesse was either emotional bullying or bordering on a childs tantrum. It's why losing Mike was so tough. Mike was a murderer and a criminal but his love for his granddaughter gave him a soul. I wonder...will we get to see Walt fall now? Will his pride be his downfall? That's a LOT of pride. I know Meth Damon has some part to play in this. Funny how he is really the perfect partner for Walt. Listens, has no misunderstanding of who is the boss...and absolutely NO scruples. And yet Walt seemed dissatisfied. Like he needs the disfunction of the Jesse relationship.

Let me spoil the spoilers, there were a few notable absences @ the SDCC panel. Mostly the folks you would expect to NOT be there at the end of the season. Not gonna say who. There is one MAJOR death from the comics that I would be horribly surprised if they had the stones to go for...at least this season.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

it's really TWO deaths.

OHHHH! Ok - gotcha. I hope they follow through with the death from comic you were talking (I read the comic too) as I can't stand that character. I will say, though, it appears the directors are trying to distance themselves somewhat from the comic and develop their own stories. We will see ...

Well yeah and they got their hands forced too. DeMunn is a Darabont guy and wanted out when they fired his buddy, which is why Dale got done. Just as well because his romantic storyline made little sense in the comic...would have been ridiculous on the show. That was the first of the MAJOR veers away from the comic. Hell, the show is influencing the comic now too because I think Darryl has been introduced in the comics due to the popularity on the show. Hey, I'm not the biggest Kirkman fan so I am sure his work can be improved.
