?Hell on Wheels? Season 3 Renewal on Hold | CraveOnline

Earlier this week, a report stated that AMC had renewed “Hell on Wheels” for a third season, but that series creators, Joe and Tony Gayton would depart the show to focus on other projects. And it turns out that the Gaytons aren’t the only ones leaving.

Despite the initial word that “Hell on Wheels” showrunner, John Shiban would remain with the series for its ten episode third season, Deadline is now reporting that Shiban is also stepping down from his position, leaving “Hell on Wheels” without a showrunner.

Consequently, AMC has reportedly put the renewal of “Hell on Wheels” on hold until a new showrunner is found. What that means for the show’s future or return date isn’t clear. “Hell on Wheels” was a solid performer during its second season on AMC, with an average of 2.4 million viewers without enjoying some of the advantage it had in the first season behind “The Walking Dead.”

I do give Rick credit for coming the closest to my plan for solving the zombie apocalypse - killing all the zombies! When you are armed, prepared, and in a group, it is relatively easy to kill zombies. You aren't really going to be safe from zombies and you certainly aren't going to have a functional 21st century world unless you kill them all. Obviously you have to do something to take care of new zombies when people die, but it is a lot easier to manage that when all the existing zombies are dead.

Now that Merle is back, can we look forward to the black guy from the very first episode finally returning sometime in the middle of the seventh season?
 
'Mythbusters' To Do Special 'Breaking Bad' Episode; Aaron Paul, Creator Vince Gilligan To Appear | Geeks of Doom

The first test, handled by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, with determine whether the scene in season 1 of Breaking Bad in which Paul?s character ignores a warning from co-star Bryan Cranston?s character to use a plastic container to dissolve a body in hydrofluoric acid. He ignores the warning and instead uses a regular bath tub, which, of course, the acid eats through and eventually causes the tub to fall through the floor.



The rest of the team, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara, will perform a series of tests to confirm or bust another scene from the show. A third one was also in the works, but these two ended up being big enough for the episode, and it was decided to save the third for a possible follow-up Breaking Bad episode. In fact, Savage thinks there could be even two more episodes dedicated to the show, if all works out.

Of the announcement, Savage said:

?We?ve been wanting to do a Breaking Bad episode for awhile. Obviously there?s a lot of fertile material to play with, so things that happen on the show have been ending up on our list of stories to tackle for a couple years now. And when Vince said in an interview that he?d love to see a Mythbusters/Breaking Bad crossover, we reached out to him directly and the response was overwhelming positive.?

Brutal, awesome. I give the makers of the show mad credit - I completely forgot about that guy after just how well they sold him being left to his death and then that week away from the prison. I am also quite surprised they killed off Lori. Rick dying would be shocking, but Lori was probably the next tier down. Poor T-Dog finally got things to do this season and now it is all over.

At least Lori didn't get stuck in an elevator when she went into labor.

I hope we don't have to go through a storyline about how Carl is becoming too unfeeling as he hardens himself to be able to survive against the zombies. That routine has gotten very tiring (in other movies / books / shows) lately.
 
So sad about T-Dog.
So sad for Carl and Rick.
So sad for myself, that I don't get my wish to see Lori torn apart by Zombies.

Did anyone else catch it when Maggie temporarily forgot that she has an American accent? I reversed to hear it again and it was a fairly obvious mistake. Maybe I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't heard the actress using the other accent before.
 
Heh, no...I have to go back and check that out. I was sad during the events of the show but it really affected me when I watched Talking Dead after and Chris Hardwicke was all fanboy and at the point of tears, and then Irone Singleton(T-Dog) spent 1/2 the show fighting back tears.

It's really sad that they finally were starting to actually pay attention to T-Dog and then...the big bite off. He went out a hero though. That was a viking death!!!!!

Yeah, I was actually really sad to see him go.

I was almost glad to see Lori go, but... man, they did that really ****ing well. And at the end where you can see the realization hit Rick in the face... I got crazy goosebumps. Bravo, guys. That was ****ing good television.

Agree with adgy. Rick's reaction was incredible. The show, this season, is really picking up for all their mistakes over the last few seasons. I am interested to see how the Governor, not to mention Merle, and Rick interact soon. Looks like Rick is going off the deep end this week and trashing/mashing zombies. Similar to the graphic novel but done by another character in the prison ... glad to see they are still using some of the best elements of the novel while plowing their own ground.

Anyone else really wonder if we won't see Lori again as maybe Carl didn't drop a bullet in her brain?? And where is Carol? Still some good story telling to be told.
 
Lets not get too excited. I know I sound like a moaner but they are riding the crest of drama induced by killing main characters. I want to see them maintain the momentum without the gutpunch effect. So far so good...but as a wise man once said, 'let's not go sucking each others dicks just yet...'.

By the way, I like that Merle's nature flashed through briefly the other night. I think he can only take orders for so long.

Maybe Carl didn't put a bullet in his mom's forehead, after all, they didnt show it. Also, no one put a final death blow to T-Dog either. Did anyone else catch what happened to the redneck prisoner? I didnt see where he went after Rick, the big black prisoner and Andrew all were in the generator room.

T-Dog was eviscerated. They haven't really gone to great lengths to establish it, but there does seem to be a minimum pre-requisite for reanimation.

Which is actually counter to crawling half-lady/bike lady Rick discovered in epi 1, season 1. To me it is all or nothing. No in between.

And personally I give you all permission to double tap my head if I zombie up!
