We have ~88 mins on Sunday for them to see if they learned anything in season 1-2 about 'the killer reveal'. Hopefully someone did their homework.
As to my guess we are getting 2 reveals: 'Casey Jones' was somehow involved in Seward's wife's murder. Holder's partner might not have been around for that and if he was they're going to need more than 88 mins for that. But he got his hand hurt somehow and found the box of rings quite easily so he's involved too.
Well, allow me to retort. The first issue I had was the big reveal - I just thought it was cheap. He gave his daughter the ring - huh? He was damn careful to not get caught, ties up loose ends, burns the car and pulls out the girl's teeth for crying out loud, and then he goes and gives the ring to his daughter despite the fact that there are large photos of the damn ring all over the conference room. WTF?? And then Linden happens to go to his house, happens to see his daughter, who happens to be wearing the ring at the time. This is how Linden solves it? Really? After all that? I mean the entire investigation was all but pointless, all she needed was that coincidence at the end to solve the crime. To me it was not a gut-shot moment, it was a "are you ****ing kidding me?!" moment.SPOILERS
Santi, it was perfectly played out.

And I really don't get Linden shooting him. Yes, he broke her, and she has issues, but sudden violence when stressed has never been one of them. It just came out of the blue as far as I am concerned. To me, the whole episode just felt like they were trying to wrap things up quickly, in a neat little bow, without really staying true to the entire preceding season.
I think that's the biggest problem I have - the rest of the season, and especially the next-to-last episode were so freaking good, I felt let down by the season finale. Oh well, Breaking Bad next week! HoW is coming back soon as well, so AMC will be keeping me entertained. If you are marginally to substantially unhappy with the finale I hope you can temper that with the terrific rest of the season.

This guy was the big winner at sdcc...there were the panels moderated by him, and those that weren't. He gets better every year.
Crap, I still have about two or three episodes of Season 2 I haven't watched. jd's proselytizing got me to watch this show and if it wasn't good on its own accord, she'd keep me watching:HELL ON WHEELS Season 3 Premiere Airs This Saturday Night on AMC | Collider
Remember...now on SATURDAY nights...good lord as if this show wasn't facing an uphill battle already. Watch it folks, it is really good. I suppose you could get caught up by watching that 5 minute s2 recap, since they seem to going in an entirely new direction with the show...but watch it...you just may like it.
