All The Details You Might Have Missed From This Week’s Phenomenal Episode Of ‘Better Call Saul’
http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/03/all-th...weeks-phenomenal-episode-of-better-call-saul/

The Emmy awards should have a provision where, at some point during the year, they see a performance that is so incredible that they simply close the category so no one else is forced to compete. If there’s any justice in the world, Jonathan Banks should easily land next year’s Best Supporting Actor award for this week’s episode of Better Call Saul, “Five-O.” Hell, they should just drive over to his house right now and give it to him.

Amen to that!

I guess "everybody" includes zombies.

That might have been the most brutal death yet. I had to turn away from the screen like three times, and Glenn got a front-row seat. And all they had to do was just push the door so the random Alexandria idiot got fed to the zombies right away. Now it makes the end of the hospital storyline even more sadly futile.

It is brilliant how this is playing out. The people running Alexandria are incompetent and Rick and company are totally moving to undermine them, and it makes complete sense to Rick and to us, because they are so dangerously incompetent. But who gets to decide that? It is pretty much a Shane move. And the woman running the place isn't quite so incompetent, it is more that the construction crew lacked competence and the two runners are beyond incompetent. Rick takes over, it is pretty much a military coup.

Verrrrrrry grateful, Gabriel. That is going to make it a lot harder for Carol to just call the kid a liar when he squeals.

I'd also like to thank Yahoo for the "Is ____ going to die?" headline that may have spoiled a death in the next two episodes.

Go Eugene!

Specially when she finds out her son is dead. Any building up trust will go out the window. Gabrial is gutless. Amazing how he forgot to tell her his about his sins.

Tension will build, but how did this group ever survive being this incompetent?

The end of this season (and the arrival in Alexandria) have followed the story line's of the comic so closely, which is a good thing to me as it was some of Kirkman's best story telling in the series IMHO. I can see where it is heading for the next two weeks and season's end.

That scene for Noah (and Glen) was gut wrenching (rending??!! too soon??!!) - very well done. I am totally with Rick on Alexandria - they are the luckiest people alive. There might be a dirty little secret they are hiding, though, I would bet. We will see. Last night's epi but was very, very good. And well done Gabriel you weasel ...

Gabriel's gutlessness is well documented. And he is clearly nutty as a squirrel turd. The problem I have here...where was Deanna's interview of Gabriel? No way he would have been able to hide his mania. That is a convenient deletion that the writers want you to not think about. I get it...but it's a blatant hole. And doesn't everyone know...never trust a guy named Aiden. Kid was a pop collar away from being the heavy in a Karate Kid flick. And his rat faced buddy too...when they bring him back, a summary execution is almost demanded. That should help ignite the fire that burns the place down. The Doctor, Sam's dad...is pure Kirkman. Very one dimensional and just short of mustache twirling. Noah's death was very sad. But the vicious and gruesome ways he and Aiden died played a little extreme. Came off more show-y than affecting. At least for me. The writing was on the wall though when Eugene/Noah/Glenn were announced as the guests for Talking Dead. That was a spoiler in my opinion. Good, not great episode in my opinion. They are just going through Alexandria too quickly and Carol finding out about Sam's dad felt a little awkward/unnatural. I mean, she threatened Sam in an extremely effective way last week and that caused him to bond with her and share a dark secret? Also a little Kirkman-y.

I'm pretty happy with the way this is going. I read the comics, but don't really remember all of what happened and am liking the way this whole thing is playing out so far.

I agree that the zombie stuff might have been a little over the top for the story, but I kind of miss the gore.

Vince Gilligan & Peter Gould On ‘Better Call Saul’: ‘What Happens In The Rest Of The Show Surprised Us’
http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/03/vince-...happens-in-the-rest-of-the-show-surprised-us/

n a new interview with HitFix, Peter Gould, the showrunner of the Breaking Bad spin-off, said that the character development in the series brought some developments that even they didn’t see coming in the first episodes:

I will say what happens in the rest of the show surprised us. These characters went in directions we weren’t expecting. The cast added such layers to these folks. This is the glory of television. We watched what the actors were doing as we shot the first few, and realized that some of our ideas of who these people were could be developed more. What happens in the last few episodes is there’s some twists and turns, but it all grew out of our observations of who these characters are and what they’re feeling. That’s the best thing I could say. But I would say the last two episodes especially surprised us completely.

Man...#MikeBetterWinAnEMMY !!!!!!!!!!!

Good thing for Rick that the husband of the lady he wants to be with is a scumbag so Rick can put him down and free her up.

The kid did not tell Carol what was going on, she figured it out because she's been there. I thought she was a little too nasty to him when he first showed up in the episode, in danger of driving him to going to squeal.

When there is a real zombie apocalypse, I will get together with smart people and we will put down all the nearby zombies before entering warehouses or beginning lengthy construction projects.

Ruth Negga Lands Female Lead in AMC’s PREACHER
http://collider.com/ruth-negga-preacher-tulip/

The Preacher pilot is set to film over the summer for a series consideration in 2016. Here’s the official synopsis from AMC:

Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s twisted ’90s comic book series, “Preacher” is about Jesse Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy, the three embark on a journey to literally find God.

I think they have something up their sleeve in terms of plotline with the casting, even Garth Ennis is on board with the change. And, the source material is (no other way to put it) bereft of minorities, so it's a smart move really. I so want this to be good...hell, I NEED this to be good. Casting Cassidy, and Arseface...as well as Herr Starr(please please please try to get Patrick Stewart...cause I want him to look like a penis, literally) are going to be the lynchpins in this...

AMC Releases New Image from HUMANS, Featuring William Hurt
http://collider.com/amc-humans-image-william-hurt/

According to the press release, the series is:

“set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ – a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart…Hurt plays George Millican, a widower who has formed a close relationship with his out-of-date synth Odi (played by Will Tudor), who he treats more like a son than a piece of machinery.”

From an overview of the original series, Humans looks to stay true to the contemplative, quasi-satirical tone and storyline of Real Humans, which was created by Lars Lundstr?m. AMC’s series will run for eight episodes, and also stars Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Colin Morgan, and Rebecca Front in supporting roles. There isn’t a confirmed release date for Humans, but it’s set to premiere on AMC later this year. It’s good news for the network, considering that The Walking Dead isn’t returning until later this year and Mad Men will be ending this summer. As for Hurt, he’s currently filming another mini-series: an adaptation of Beowulf backed by ITV. And everyone knows movies and TV series based off of Beowulf always go over like gangbusters.

Good setup episode for the season finale next week.

Rick is loosing it and going back to Ricktatorship mode. I do believe he has seen every good situation go south and believes the ineptitude of the people will chase this one to do so as well. The question how far gone is and what response seems justifiable in his mind to keep his group safe.

It is hard to make your point when you are covered in blood and waving a gun around, but to each their own.

All I know is that Carol is even more awesomer than ever. If the zombies knew about her, they would all just impale their heads on thin metal fence posts to avoid her impending wrath.
