All Things:AMC television

Anyone watching Turn. Not enough of the Ex Queens Ranger. But Simcoe is turning into a good villain. Burn Gorman has been really good as the Colonel Klink of Setauket. I still like the show a bit.

The wife and I got caught up this weekend. Very much enjoying it, and wholeheartedly agree about there not being enough Angus MacFayden. He was my favorite part of season 1.

Still really like the show, though. Wonder if it'll get a third season?

I have read zero about the ratings. I don't think it has to do really well to survive, just as long as the numbers did not drop off too bad from season 1. As soon as I hear anything...

One thing, even Abraham was on the show less frequently this season. I wonder if that and MacFayden's spacity may have been cost cutting moves.

Of course, the changing of its airtime of the new episodes from Sunday to Monday influenced the number of its viewers, which made the critics doubt in the renewal of the show for Season 3.

According to one of the interviews of executive producer Craig Silverstein, this story can de developed for several seasons, that?s why there is no reason to worry about its rapid ending. But will the creators be able to keep the show on air?

The fact that ?TURN? has appeared on Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video increases its chances for the new season, that?s why the premiere date of the renewal has all the chances to be announced.

Read this on a few sites with questionable pedigree.

Yeah, when they did a whole episode of George Washington, that was one of the things I thought of. Jamie Bell's star seems to only be getting bigger. Definitely rather have them do "side" episodes than to cut down on the high quality of the sets/costumes/etc, though.

Yeah, they have really changed the focus a lot this season. The one unsung 'glue' guy I keep forgetting to mention is the guy who plays the now shaven tracker. That submarine scene looked and felt surreal, almost like something out of The Wild Wild West(the tv show). I like all of the characters on the show...but really MacFayden HAS to be on more. I think with the hit on him kiboshed we may be seeing him a bit more should they get a 3rd season.

Dunno if you watched the season finale last night yet or not, but I think if there is a 3rd season we'll get to see him more. Thankfully.

I'm also hoping Caleb's facial hair grows back quickly, though the scene of him first without it was well worth it. :)

HaCF S2 premiere was... awesome!

This season has been lights ****ing out. Every Sunday. The writing is incredible. The characters are finally dynamic and interesting regardless of what's happening on screen at the moment. The performances are Emmy worthy. This past Sunday (Episode 3) was possibly Toby Huss' greatest performance of his career.

This show is powerful and it bums me out that nobody is watching.

I cannot wait to see how things play out in the coming weeks.

Yeah HACF S2 is just smashing it out of the park. My PVR cut off 3 seconds into the credits last night, and I swear the first few notes are from GoT. LOL

Holeeeeeeee crap. Did NOBODY watch Humans? I recommend you correct that sharp-ish. Amazon Prime gives you the first episode free. One episode in and I am HOOKED. William Hurt is terrific, as is the rest of the cast. It's based on a Swedish show, and i would reckon that it's a British production due to all of the actors except Hurt. Great performances and some nice story developing. Seriously, I read no reviews of this, and nobody is talking about it...I would really like to see this show get a chance to survive...come on people.

I watched Humans. (It's British, what else am I gonna do)

Nice concept, but I'm already confused. Is the family's robot sinister, or just wants to break away? Is William Hurt's robot breaking down with age, or sinister as well?

Looks like it has potential. I still can't figure out how the robots got so much emotion though.

That scene with the stripped robot was disturbing..

well, Anita is one of the 'special' synths with sentience...so, like a human, her motivations are unclear at this point. And the subplot with Hurt's robot is that he has some memory that Hurt does not want becoming public, concerning Mary...who I assume is his late wife. That's what is so good about the show. A lot of directions in just the first episode. And all the characters are engaging. From the leader of the 'robot resistance' who was bleeding from an open wound...so there's a question or two there, and even the 'hunter' who isn't presented as a simple villain. Telling ya, I am all in on this show.

The hunter's speech on this being the moment when machines surpass humans was very terminator-esque.

I hey the feeling there will be some robots with feelings sympathetic to humans, and some more sinister, but a very grey line between who the villains and heroes are. William Hurt's character seemed to genuinely feel his robot is a "son" to him too.

but you're right, a lot of different directions it could go.
