Now, Virginia may have slightly less stringent building codes than California, but there is no reason a tower should require being attached to an adjacent building to remain standing. I am pretty sure the only active loading factors were in the vertical direction. Even if there were hundreds of zombies inside the church pushing on the tower, they would have been too close to the ground to create the overturning moment required to cause the tower to topple like it did.
 
That was kinda disappointing. At least insofar as being a bundle of cliffhangers. I enjoyed the is he/Isn't he of Glenn's dilemma. But we are talking almost 3 months till a TON of resolutions. At least it looks like Carol is in the clear, unless the Doc bites it and she maybe dies from some concussion/backbreaker combo complications...
When did Sam turn into such a feeb? Jaysus that lady is the worst mom in the zombie apocalypse. Jeez kid, even the baby was quieter than you. Time for her kids to 'look at the flowers'. The stinger felt a little meh as well. Yes, we know. Negan is coming. Let's see him already instead of his 'straight out of central casting' goon squad. Really, only thing missing was a guy with an eyepatch. So, overall...a letdown after a pretty strong half season. Matter of fact, the last 2 or 3 eps had a LOT of water treading. I get that they have to stretch the story to fit a long season...but they did such great work early on with presenting the course of a day from multiple viewpoints, just to lose most of that goodwill and momentum. Deanna had a strong death though, god bless her.
 
Tovah Feldshah is such a fine actress. She did a really nice job with their little flip on how the book did that story arc.

The mid-season was really Meh for me. I was really expecting the loss of life to be more like the book as they are really following the storyline so closely now. Can't help but feel there is too much Kirkman influence going on now ...

Was interesting how the Baron had the Widow and then ... didn't. And to go to Sunny's woman for help with her knowing what happened to her parents. The show is building some momentum but I am still not sure where it is going ... some great action sequences, though, between the Baron and the Widow. She is a very worthy adversary.

Was the church damaged by the Truck crashing into the wall. I thought that was the premise for the structural failure.

Agree with the substandard mid-season finale. Left with that was it. Stupid Stupid Stupid kid. I don't understand why they didn't leave the mom, baby, and whiny son behind in a secure room and come back for them when they get a chance. Too much could go wrong bringing a baby with making noise. Seems like a better choice than what they ended up doing.

Think Carol is off her rocker and did not need to handle that issue as there was way bigger issues to deal with at that moment. Really stupid for them to give up their guns to that guy. Should have just shot him point blank.

They are really following the comics storyline pretty closely as far as the Zombie herd in the compound. The Negan storyline is coming a bit sooner than I expected because of timeline events that have not happened in the show that transpired in the comics prior to discovering Negan.

My question is if the camouflage works so well why don't they use it more often seems like a easier way to be mobile.
 
Definitely agree with the disappointment over the mid-season finale. We know for sure the premiere will be bonkers, but it would have been nice to have some more story last night.
Deanna had a pretty fantastic death though. She went out like a boss.

Sam is THE WORST. I know he's a kid, but come on. Ron is annoying. Carl was a boss last night. And Morgan.....Morgan, Morgan, Morgan. I want to like you again, but this whole "I can't kill any living thing" isn't plausible in the apocalypse and I sure hope he's learned his lesson now that the Wolf is out. Oh, and anyone who hurts Carol is pretty much automatically on my **** list anyway sooooooo screw you, dude.

Carol...you better put her down if you want to keep her down. Now that the foreplay is over I expect them two to shack up.

Maybe a truck hitting the tower and seriously damaging one side could make it collapse in that direction, but it is not going to fall the other way two hours later with enough force to take the adjacent wall with it.

The finale was alright, but none of the storylines really got to a conclusion, which makes it rather annoying to have to wait several months. Deanna was just awesome, but those kids really, really need to die.

"Go... go... go... go..." - me when the Broncos RB broke free in OT, and me again 10 minutes later watching Maggie run for that ladder. It would have been just like the show to kill her now that Glenn is officially alive.

Carol is an idiot for needing to kill Dave Navarro right away, only having a knife, and going at Morgan. Morgan is an idiot for keeping Dave Navarro and risking breaking Carol. Rosita and the other chick are the biggest idiots for giving their weapons to Dave Navarro, who frankly should have massacred everyone just to show them what colossal idiots they were. I think the odds of the nurse getting killed when you shoot Navarro are a lot less than the odds of Navarro killing everyone. And they need to be a lot higher to give up the guns, because the nurse is just one person, and everyone is six people. Also, we don't care about her.

I think Daryl could have filmed two movies during this season with all the screen time he got. He also might want to stop having to give up his own weapons.
 
Talking Dead...Tovah Feldshuh's comment about Deanna shooting the zombies instead of killing herself "for the greater good"... Smart. And love Jason Alexander.

Y'know...Into the Badlands. Getting bored. Daniel Wu has NO emotional expression. The story is too simple, no depth. And they just keep rehashing the same plot points in different ways. The Baron's son is wretched. Ill conceived and played by an actor whose ability to sulk seems to be the only measuring stick. Nice technical aspects...but the biggest problem...


When you have Stephen Lang pop in, and Martin Csokas' The Baron chewing scenery like they both do...the rest of it just feels horribly inert no matter how pretty the fighting is.
 
I don't know; that is some extremely pretty fighting and amazing scenery-chewing. I don't understand how the Widow can have a daughter old enough to have top-level martial arts skills.
