TV Performer of the Week: Jonathan Banks, ‘Better Call Saul’
http://collider.com/better-call-saul-jonathan-banks-tv-performer-of-the-week/

MAN. We got hoodwinked. Amc and the BB guys just used Saul as a vehicle to sell a show about Mike the Fixer. Amazing performance, so subtle. And the writers have done so much character building with such little deft touches. Mike's dark. spartan apartment with a PBR in the fridge. His pimiento loaf sandwiches. Come on Emmy folks. Do the right thing this year.

Outstanding episode. But I'm warning you walking dead...you bastards take my Carol...and I'm out of here.

I agree. A completely different direction than I thought the show would go. The brutality of Carol and Maggie was eye opening. The lady was right though they aren't the good guys when they pull off those tactics.

I thought Carols portrayal of a softy was all an act to lull them. She may be dealing with issues but she can be so bad ass in a sec.

CAROL. My queen of the apocalypse. Her character evolution has probably been the best thing about this show. She's 100% my favorite character. I love that her and Maggie were able to rescue themselves.

I'm very worried about what's going to happen to Carol, now that it she's lost her edge. Please, please, please don't turn her into another Morgan. I know she's feeling guilty, but his views DO NOT WORK IN THEIR WORLD. Seriously...I will ****ing rage if anything happens to her.

I am now firmly believing that Carol will be the sacrificial lamb. Just feels that with her conflicted emotions she will be able to that one last thing for the group in saving someone else ... last night went a long way to pushing this agenda.

The problem is that this show runs into a pattern of highlighting a persons story arc and then offing that person. If it goes in this direction then it is poor storytelling. I think they still can surprise us with another character, either way to hold the shock value that they have said in previews it probably has to be a core main character.

see...this is normally right...but not this time. They have been doing a really good job of playing Russian Roulette lately with a lot of the characters. One week it seems like Glenn, one week Maggie, the next Carol...sooner or later, the music is going to stop, and someone is gonna be short one chair. I think Scott Gimple has done a real good job wratcheting up the tension. Whether he sticks the landing, well...that remains to be seen. 3 more episodes.

What do you guys think about the 'we are Negan' party line going on? Is Negan really going to be Negan? Or is he going to be someone who just finally steps up to bat(teehee)?

Well the crushed head pics were in one persons sleeping quarters. But to have that kind of cohesiveness amongst a group that rough you would have to have a strong leader. That and they cast for Negan already. Not sure what they are doing with the we are all Negan bit. Would be highly disappointed if they played down the character because he is great in the comics. I just can't see them doing that with the amount of anticipation.

I would not worry too much...yet. Unless they kill her, I think Carol will constantly be the ONLY character that ever evolves on the show. I predicted this change of heart, and would have been disappointed had it not happened. I will admit, it feels a little rushed...but, not at all unexpected. Can you imagine the grief and ptsd that woman is carrying? That little act she put on last night, the faith driven abused wife and mother of dead children...well, it's not just a cover story. And, for the first time...in a long time...she teetered closer to that than the cookie making flower watching purpose driven vigilante.

Luring them guys into that room to flash fry em...that was dark.

It really was dark. I LOVE that she will do what has to be done when necessary, but she's not a cold, unfeeling killer. I definitely agree that this arc feels a little rushed, but not out of left field. She is, in my opinion, the best-written character on the show.

I would say out of all characters from the comics I really enjoy hers and Hershal's differences from the comics.

No similar to his character in the book he demands so much from his people that I think they say the "I am Negan" because he has drilled into their heads and they are terrified of him. I think he is also trying to stop assaination attempts by confusing his foes.

Carol/Melissa McBride cleaned up nicely on Talking Dead. A strong woman...hawt. Was nice that she got to sit there and listen to folks kiss her ass. Man...I have been yelling since early on. Hell, she only got upgraded to cast (as opposed to guest star) what?, 2 seasons ago. Shameful.
