The ‘Walking Dead’ Showrunner Explains Why Negan Is One Of TV’s ‘Greatest Villains’ Ever
http://uproxx.com/tv/walking-dead-negan-bully/

So, we know we should be excited for Negan — but why? He’s likely to off a major character, which is the kind of major shakeup The Walking Dead could use (and no, Denise doesn’t count), but Steven Yeun didn’t really explain why it’s “*****ing awesome” he’s coming. Let showrunner Scott Gimple try:

The worst kind of bullies in high school, and junior high, and elementary school, and kindergarten, pre-school, and the womb were the bullies that were funny. That was the worst because the bullies that were funny were show people. I’m not going to say show men because there are a lot of girl bullies in school, too. They were funny and yet they were awful… And Negan is the ultimate version of that bully. And he is an incredible strategist. He can often appear capricious. He is pure id. He is this force of nature. He’s charismatic. A lot of villains on shows and comics and everything, it’s like, “Oh they’re the villain that you love to hate.” I think Negan is the villain that you hate to love. But you just love him. And he does some horrible things, but he has a reason for them. (Via)

And this is why my boy JDM is the PERFECT choice. You are gonna hate him...you are gonna love him...don't screw this up TWD!!!1

VERY MUCH SPOILERY

The Walking Dead: Leaked Finale Details Indicate the Season Will End on a Maddening Cliff-Hanger
http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood...ason-6-finale-cliffhanger-who-does-negan-kill

If it’s not Glenn who dies in the finale, who will it be? According to new leaked plot details, it’s nobody. Or at least, nobody we will see.

Fans have been guessing that it might be Abraham (spared from his comic-book fate in last week’s episode), Daryl (Norman Reedus has been taking on other projects) or even a pregnant Maggie (Lauren Cohan got a haircut) on the chopping block in Glenn’s place. Leaked finale info does indicate that Negan considers killing Maggie—who is mid-labor during the finale—just to shut her up. But according to the leak, after Negan plays a game of “eenie, meenie, miney, moe” with some of our favorite characters, the camera shifts to the victim’s point of view. In other words, we’ll see Negan swing the bat towards the camera and then, after the episode cuts to black, we will spend seven months arguing over which character—Abraham, Daryl, Maggie, Glenn, etc.—was on the receiving end.

And Gimple may have fun adding fuel to that speculative fire. He’s recently said of Negan’s deathly intro:

Let me put it this way: Whatever it is, it’s really just all in service to being faithful to the comic book inasmuch as one can. That’s always going to be relatively subjective as to what that means. But taking inspiration from the moments of the comic book and playing them out to the ends of what it can be, it’s all just like taking that moment from the book and figuring out a way to turn it up to get those feelings that it gave you and those emotions that it gave you that much more.

See? It really could be any fan favorite staring down that bat.

It’s a brilliant, maddening play from The Walking Dead. Sure, it will be hard to conceal once the show goes back into production for Season 7. It’s sort of a reverse of the situation over on Game of Thrones. Unlike Kit Harington, who had to make excuses as to why he was hanging around the Game of Thrones set after his character died in the finale, whichever Walking Dead actor is meeting their maker at the close of Season 6 may have to pretend to film some of Season 7. We wouldn’t put that kind of on-set trickery past a show that had Steven Yeun ducking under blankets in the back of cars for several weeks while they pretended Glenn was gone for good. And as frustrated as fans might be by the cliff-hanger, everyone will be guessing, analyzing, and, most importantly, talking about this particular twist of the plot for the entire seven-month hiatus between seasons.

Ok. That's f'n brilliant. OH there will be soooooo much gnashing of teeth and cursing to the heavens...

Hurm.

this

is hardly this

But I get it. They say they wanted to make him...palatable. It makes sense. And maybe it's worse because minus the hairy starfish mouth...he looks like a sweet kid. Trying so hard to accept this.

And that link was up as late as noon Orph, so if you missed it, that's on you.

The supernatural drama will bow Sunday, May 22 at 10/9c, leading out of Fear the Walking Dead‘s midseason finale. After encoring the pilot twice on Sunday, May 29 (during Memorial Day weekend), new episodes will resume Sunday, June 5 at 9 pm (its regular time slot).

‘The Walking Dead’: Norman Reedus Says Fans Should “Be Very Worried About Daryl”
http://collider.com/the-walking-dead-daryl-dies-norman-reedus/

I just don't think it's gonna be Daryl. I think we are being led down that path...but, and I could change my mind in a minute...but the spinning wheel this week is going to land...on...Michonne.
Spoiler alert

I don't think it's Daryl either after last night. I actually give them credit for the "you'll be alright" at the end. They could've let everyone argue back and forth for a week on whether he was killed. But after the Glen fiasco, you can't cry wolf too many times.

My money now is on Carol, Morgan, or Glenn. I leaned Maggie but it seems like her problems are taking place in Alexandria (unless Negan shows up there). Does she give birth to the first zombie baby?

They showed a hand clutching the rosary in next weeks prevew...but the last savior from the sleeve gun massacre grabbed that up...so that's a red herring. I am not even sure that Carol is going to be in next weeks episode. We still have to see Morgan on horseback, but I have a feeling that a Morgan/Carol roadtrip is going to carry over into next season. So that removes 2 of your 3...if that's the case. Hell, after all this circling around...maybe it will be Glenn after all.

Not sure if that was a smokescreen, or a water tester? It's looking more and more like...

Spoilers

We aren't gonna know who "pays the price", until the beginning of next season.

If the possible....

....SPOILERS ALERT.....

....goes as speculated, at least throw the audience a bone, and show the face of one person that didn't die, to catch reaction of the death blow.

They won't. It will probably be just someone gasping in the background as it fades to black, to which we won't know if that someone (male or female) was dying or just reacting to someone else dying..

Who do you have in the dead pool for Sunday?

I am going with: Dwight (and a bunch of Saviors), Rosita and also one of: Morgan or Carol. Can't figure out who the writers think are done? Both? Also, Glenn has been teased so much this season, that it'll be a big 'meh' if it actually happens.

I just have to say that if the season DOES end on a cliffhanger and we don't actually find out who ends up being Lucille'd until next season, I'm going to be pissed. ESPECIALLY if it's Glenn. They faked his death out once and made us wait to find out what happened to him. If they stop it on a ****ing cliffhanger and then 6 months later, we find out Glenn died, I'm going to be genuinely angry.

I have no idea who they'll kill, but I'm really hoping it happens in Sunday's episode. I want to spend the next 6 or so months before the new season starts *processing* the death and coming to terms with the absurd amount of feelings I'll probably have....not still worrying about who's going to die, dammit.
