All Things:AMC television

Switched off Talking Dead... couldn't stand an hour of 'our show is great' after that finale.

Oh and only good part was Morgan and Carol meeting someone from the set of Rollerball. Too many commercials and RVing, plus unbelievable roadblocks.

The show has jumped the shark. Too bad...it could have just been getting good.

Y'all that are complaining about Walking Dead...stop watching
Y'all that are complaining about Better Call Saul...stop watching.

Walking Dead finale was brilliant. EVERYONE will be talking about it until the season premiere, WHICH YOU WILL ALL WATCH...and likely bitch about endlessly.
BCS is NOT Breaking Bad. And what exactly do you whiners want? You want them to speed through explorations of characters we LOVED on BB so that they get back to the original show? Guess what happens then...
If you want Breaking Bad...please, go watch it. It's a terrific show and certainly deserving of rewatch. But admire Saul for what it is. And don't be so impatient. I can see why the guy who came up with the idea wanted it to be a 1/2 hour comedy...this show needed a clean break. But no...it's mirror image of the Breaking Bad formula is making it hard for you all to appreciate it as a separate entity.
As far as TWD...Carol isn't ruined. She is being clumsily handled. BUT, Morgan did have that moment where he may have 'come back to reality' so yeah...the Carol/Morgan relationship, while bumbled, is a very intriguing storyline. Oh yeah...the fact that they are in the arms of the Kingdom, and Ezekial is being teased,,,well, yeah. I wanna see a guy with a tiger. Sue me.
And that finale was one of the tensest frigging things I have endured in a while. The ever narrowing gauntlet, the increasing tension...look, if you aren't shiftwatching or whatever they call giving a show 35 minutes or so in order to ffwd thru commercials...well, have you no dvr? Who cares about commercials. Necessary evil. And, I support the cliffhanger. It was brilliant. Not 'trolling', not abusing the viewers...jayzus you impatient 'instant gratification' mf'ers. Y'all ain't learned to savor 'not knowing' something. It's a comic book show. In my day, the last panel of a comic book, if it was worth it's salt, had you waiting with your imagination going to the darkest places, every month. Savor 'not knowing'. Let your IMAGINATION go hog wild. It's good for you...builds character.

Great finale to BCS. So well written and so well acted. Who knew back in the day that Lenny was such an acting talent?
I wonder if a surreptitiously recorded conversation is admissible as evidence in New Mexico...

What You May Have Missed In The ‘Better Call Saul’ Season Finale (And A Look Ahead At Season Three)

Spoilers obviously.

Thought the finale was curt...almost abrupt. Yet...brilliant. I have always admired Michael McKean, but he is outdoing himself as Chuck. Pure evil but all because, despite all his success, people love Jimmy. A bully and a coward...and a hurt little boy. Brilliant. Read the thing in the article above about the anagram. The level of easter eggery on this show is just crazy. It's like the writers room has to have a forensic accountant in it. IT'S NOT BREAKING BAD...but it ain't bad. Not at all.

Turn started last night, havent watched it yet but hope this season is good. I didn't see/hear any advertising for it.

Read that all the machinations of the past two seasons finally get put into gear. We need more of Angus MacFayden and Burn Gorman!!!!

I haven't seen a lot of complaints around here about Fear the Walking Dead. Is nobody watching or is it quiet because the show is actually getting better? I think it still needs to do something about some of the characters and their likability, but a few of them (Strand, Junkie Gilbert Grape, and Ruben Blades) are doing the heavy lifting right now.

I am liking FTWD. Not so many whiney kids moments this season, but more emo kid. Mercedes Mason's character has done near-zero this year.

Actually took a pass on FTWD. Other then Gilbert Grape there was no one else on the show I cared for. And I needed a break from Kirkman for awhile ...

Some blatant "huh" storyline moments, but I'm enjoying it.

Druggie yet sort of bad-a** kid in the pilot shirt is awesome.

My wife and I just binged watched the entire first season of FTWD and have caught up to the last episode. hopefully we'll get a chance to watch tonight.

I still don't know what the lady's name is. Travis' wife. Nick's mom. WTF? Doesn't anybody ever say her name? I think her student in the first season called her by her initials?

I'm not a gun nut, but you better damn well believe if society starts to collapse, I'm keeping a sidearm. Why have these people not armed themselves? Overall, I'm not disappointed in the show, as much as I am frustrated with the characters. I don't expect them to be grizzled vets of the zombie apocalypse in a matter of weeks, but someone besides The Salazar guy needs to figure out keeping yourself armed might be a good idea.

^ I just call her 'The American woman' since the entire cast is multi-national. Or just Kim Dickens. Or "Madison". :)

Oh, and for the guns, I don't think they've had any opportunity to get more, even if they were locked-up by the Army...
