All Things:Animated

While at Anime Expo this year I took delivery of an item I had been looking for a very long time. In 1999 Volks Japan produced a large resin statue of the Goddess Belldandy and her angel Holy Bell from the manga & anime Ah My Goddess. They only produced 3000 of them world wide but only 100 in the 1st year run in Japan. They come unassembled in a custom wooden box and must be assembled to be displayed. The one a friend who had been helping me search over the years is #41 .

nice! so jealous! "aa! megami-sama!" was one of my favorite anime back in the day.

had a 4-day pass to anime-expo last weekend but only went one day. very underwhelmed with ax the last three years.

One interesting new series that is currently in Japan but is being streamed on Hulu is Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace which is animating some of the writing on Edogawa Ranpo 1894-1965 who wrote a series of stories that could be considered a much darker version of "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew". So far the 1st 2 episodes anime his story "The Human Chair".
Their choice of Opening/Ending is sets the tone for the series very well.

That list is invalidated by the exclusion of the Dumbo scene.

On second thought, it's not called "The Top 14… " just "14." So, not invalidated, but an egregious exclusion, as you point out.

Seeing a lot of the posting of a lot of the early animation reminded me that a good friend of mine has invested a very large chunk of change to purchase and preserve a lot of the early vintage Disney and other studios animation cels. For those that might be interested here is a link to her online Gallery of her collection. http://starphoenix.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
