Sadly, like Laika's other works, nothing about this screams HIT! It seems like they make movies almost solely for adults who dig stop motion. That can't be a large audience. Still, take my money.

20 Million USD is around 25 Million CAD. The US Dollar goes a bit farther up here, especially considering all the tax incentives. But I'm still not sure I can support a company (by going to their film) that shafted a large percentage of their workers.

Yeah. Kubo was pretty solid.

The story wasn't extraordinary, but it was done very well.

And, of course, the animation was terrific.

Got the remastered Transformers The Movie (1986) BD yesterday and watched it last night. Still love it! It was really cleaned-up quite well (except for one 5 second scene with Hot Rod and Daniel right at the beginning).
