Can I take this one???? Among everything...yes. Is Ellen Page in this? Because she is the tinderstick of epic hipster comedy-that-isn't-really that a movie like this clearly needs. Maybe throw in some Michael Cera too. Someone has to hate most everything and if Naysay isn't gonna do it anymore...it falls to me.

Neither her nor Cera are in it, no.

It's a Jason Reitman movie. It has Patton Oswalt in it.

The trailer's not amazing or anything, but those two reasons right there are good enough for me to be optimistic about it.
 
And what's with the hipster thing? Hasn't Ellen Page done enough to distance herself from that by now?

This trailer is dripping with visual and audio "code words". Oh and talk about stunt casting.

Or not...yeah. Not. Seriously, Jason Reitmans flicks do NOTHING for me. They do not register as comedies. To me Juno is a high end ABC afterschool special. The movie about downsizing can suck it. Hey, lost your job??? Want to have a larf about it??? F' you! And this is just another comedy-that-probably-ain't. So his name means nothing to me. He might ought to take a lesson from his dad and make comedies that actually make folks laugh. Patton is in almost anything. That does nothing for me automatically either. Seen Big Fan? Yeah, that's a real hoot. And no, Ellen Page will never lose that label because of those stupid ass " i'm really too cool for the room " commercials she did. Sorry can't stand her. Best thing she ever did in a movie is (SPOILERS) get half her annoying twitchy rabbit nosed face blown off in SUPER. No sir...i don't like her. So yeah...looking forward to this one.

And Diablo Cody...well, let's just leave that alone...i do not have enough venom left in me.

Diablo Cody's name attached to anything automatically means they have to register. Maybe a new thread for these kind of movies...All Things:Dramedy.

And Patton Oswalt? I'm not saying anything he's in is automatically great (especially if it's a TV show), but it counts for something, doesn't it?
