'American Horror Story: Asylum': How Naomi Grossman became Pepper | PopStyle | EW.com

Man, I worry that the inevitable showdown between Givens and Crowder may finally be coming. They are gonna have to do it sooner or later cause otherwise it'll get stale with no conclusion, but I would almost argue that Walton Goggins drives the show moreso than Timothy Olyphant.

FX to adapt Feldman's 'Fairy Tale': Billy Crystall attached to produce skein based on comedic stage show - Chicago Tribune

a smallscreen adaptation of J. Michael Feldman's comedic stage show "Fairy Tale Theater: 18 and Over," with Billy Crystal attached to exec produce.

The stage show features puppets in satirical, twisted fables that center on contemporary topics like sex, relationships and finances. Feldman wrote and performed in the Los Angeles stage show.

Feldman will pen the FX laffer and exec produce alongside Crystal. He was formerly a writer on MTV's "The Inbetweeners," which was cancelled earlier this week.

Ok. I would watch that. Got caught up in a Nip/Tuck marathon on Logo the other day...now I am rehooked and watching again(thanks Netflix). It's prime grade A cheese...ridiculously over the top soap opera...and has NOT aged well. But man, this show and The Shield, when you go back and rewatch, you can feel the landscape of tv changing. Without Fx's fine envelope pushing there would be no Walking Dead, no Breaking Bad...and don't give me Sopranos. HBO is a pay service. Basic cable was always the home of infomercials and endless reruns. Now, they are more valid than the big 3. Ok...off the soapbox, but if you missed Nip/Tuck the first go round...give it a shot. In between rolling your eyes, you will enjoy the ride.

?Homeland? Duo Place a ?Tyrant? At FX | CraveOnline

According to Deadline, FX has ordeed a pilot for “Tyrant,” the new potential TV series from Gordon and Raff. Initially described as a “Reverse ‘Homeland,’” “Tyrant” will follow “an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation.”

The concept of “Tyrant” was originated by Raff, who created the Israeli series “Prisoners of War;” which became the basis for “Homeland.” Gordon and Craig Wright (“Six Feet Under”) developed “Tyrant” with Raff writing the pilot script. Wright will serve as the showrunner if “Tyrant” is picked up to series.

FX Executive Vice President Nick Grad praised the project and said “It’s pretty amazing when you read a script and can instantly imagine it becoming one of the best shows on television.”

It’s been an unusually busy development cycle for FX, with pilot commitments for “The Strain” and “The Bridge” in addition to an adaptation of “Fargo” that is also being worked on as a potential TV series.

TV Bits: American Horror Story, 30 Rock, Californication, The Killing, Hannibal, Doctor Who, Masters of Sex | /Film

If you’ve been watching FX recently, you’ve seen commercials for The Americans, a new show premiering in January about KGB spies living in America. According to Deadline, Margo Martindale – who won an Emmy for her work on Justified – has just joined the show. It stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys.

Terrific news...she is always good in anything she shows up in. She was EMMY terrific on Justified and she was really good as the dying file clerk w/the taste for KeyLime pie, back when Dexter was decent.

TV Bits: ‘Girls’, ‘Downton Abbey’, ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Happy Endings’, ‘Don’t Trust the B—’, ‘Archer’, ‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Mockingbird Lane&#

Isis will be getting a little visit from Raylan Givens in the next season of Archer — or at least, the actor who plays him. Timothy Olyphant has signed on for a guest role on the hit comedy as a secret agent pal of Sterling’s who is accused of double-crossing his colleagues. The episode will air January 24.

Nice...ARCHER LIVE tomorrow night at the Echoplex...there's a Q & A and if I can work up the nerve I have always wanted to ask if we are ever going to find out about Conway Stern from the Diversity Hire episode of season 1.
