death by hot iron is not a good way to go.

Matthew Lillard is so underrated

Methinks, not so much anymore after this. Some badass that guy turned out to be, you got pwnd by mumblecore Abe Lincoln in his loosey off whiteys.

'Oh, you left your wallet at so and so's house' sheesh. I realize she is supposed to have Aspbergers, but unless it turns you into Starman they do take it a little far at times.

HA!

I do like that almost nothing happened to advance the overall plot in this episode beyond possibly the two of them bonding a bit, and I didn't even notice until well after the episode was over. That's good writing.

come on

"not very hungry?"
"it doesn't taste good"

"you do a lot of drugs don't you. why?"
"cause they're there. and they're fun."

FX orders Hoke pilot with Paul Giamatti

FX has given a pilot order to "Hoke," a darkly comic crime series starring Emmy winner Paul Giamatti.

The project is based on Charles Willeford's novels "Sideswipe," "New Hope for the Dead" and "The Way We Die Now," which focus on the character of Hoke Moseley, a homicide detective in 1985 Miami.

"Hoke" will shoot in Miami later this year with "Out of Sight" and "Karen Sisco" scribe (and "The Lookout" director) Scott Frank writing and helming. Frank and Giamatti will executive produce along with Curtis Hanson, Carol Fenelon and Dan Carey.

"Like Elmore Leonard, Charles Willeford is one of the most deeply respected writers of crime fiction and he created a wholly original and colorful lead character in Detective Hoke Mosely," blurbs FX Networks President of Original Programming Eric Schrier. "Scott Frank delivered a magnificent script and we are honored that Paul Giamatti will bring Hoke to life. We're grateful to Curtis Hanson, Carol Fenelon, Paul and Dan Carey for bringing us this project."

Yes they did. Seems like more a normal crime caper now?

So back when Marco chased the guy in that warehouse and was about to be shot, but said something like "please, I'm family". Am I confused, or how exactly does this play in?
